Syren,
I bought Charlie even though it wasn't on sale. I really love it and felt it was worth having. With all my things in the bag, it was still very lightweight. The pebble leather is soft and flexible and is lined in, what I think, is crossgrain leather. I love it.View attachment 4061303 [/ATTACH]

So pretty! I love it’s organization and how it has a secure zipper area combined with easy access open compartments. It’s simple elegant design will stand the test of time.

Enjoy! I will own one eventually [emoji23]

Macy's has the Signature version of Charlie in several different colors on the sides of the bag such as oxblood and bone It is lovely. I wish I could have bought that too.
Because Charlie was not included in the sale it makes me think it is the bag of the future or, at least, a bag they don't want to move out.
My SA told me there will be another sale in September, but unlike the current sale, it will be more like Coach selling the bags they want to move. He told me there will be another big sale around Black Friday.

Someone else mentioned that their SA said Charlie is selling pretty well! I wonder if the September sale is the Summer semi annual sale? Will be fun to look forward to that [emoji1]

Satcheldoll is a SAS a sale on summer or non-fall items? I am pretty new to Coach and have never experienced that sale before.
It would be the past fall/winter and possibly some spring items. They also bring out older styles that are old stock or made for the sale. I was told the Turnlock Hobo is coming back for the SAS and another style that I can't remember. Last year the made new Scout Hobos. They are already sending inventory to the boutiques.

I just wanted to give a quick update for anyone who (like me) lives far away from a store and has to rely on the website for info. I finally had a chance to see and touch the Signature pieces in store, and have to say I’m hugely disappointed. The signature canvas is very thin and has a rubbery feel to it. On pieces where it’s mixed with what’s supposed to be burnished glovetan leather, the leather too is very thin and cheap, and the burnishing is not natural but just painted on brown color. Not nice at all.

Quite sad as I’d really been eyeing the camera bag, but now no way! I have to say all the regular line items felt very cheap compared to the 1941 line. Granted of course they are also much less expensive and it shows.

I actually love the Signature bags. The only reason Coach pulled back from them is because too many people who were not Coach’s “image” (not my opinion, their obvious motive) were able to buy them at outlets and through resale. Signature was Coach’s attemp to market their brand to a wider variety of buyers. Then it was too successful and their upper end buyers got turned off by “lower classes” carrying Coach, so Coach pulled back in order to save their image. Just more elitism.

Coach’s signature canvas is not a true heritage canvas like the one used at Louis Vuitton, Gucci, or Goyard. It was a quick marketing move at the height of the logo mania era. It needs to go away for ever. It’s tacky. It’s 2000-High-school-senior-girl-at-your-local-mall. It’s a shame Coach is bringing it back. Their latest collections were very interesting and this is, once again, throwing the brand back into the Michael-Kors-type-basket-of-deplorables.

Wow! That’s pretty elitist!

One opinion, yours. Whatever Goyard is called, it's the most God awful.
