I'm actually planning on pulling out a couple of my sig prints as soon as daughter and I are done this once-through of all those vintage bags I just rehabbed for birthday month. I only have four in sig jacquard, and a fifth in sig sateen, .... and I already know which one I'm getting out first.

I know I said it in the other thread, but I'll say it here too ... what the jacquard has going for it is clean-up of accidents. You can't deny it. Jacquard, coated canvas (of multiple brands), and vintage Coach leather that's dyed all the way through, are all relatively easy in maintenance. The other day, daughter noticed a spot of something "sticky" smeared on a jacquard wristlet she uses crossbody. Whatever it was had smeared at three different spots and was dried. I took her into the kitchen, got out the Dawn, got some warm water flowing, and taught her an easy cleanup. I would not be nearly as confident in cleaning a Coach leather that was not dyed all the way through, or a lot of other materials either for that matter.

As for the sig pattern ... that's always been a matter of the beholder's eye, no matter how hard some people may try to defame it. It's right up there with some people liking blue, and some liking red. Some liking polka dots, and some like checks. One can posture all they want, but there is no "right" answer. :)

amazing! i’ve really grown to love the signature print & it’s awesome that you were able to get that stain out and enjoy all of your bags/accessories!!
i gotta say i’m surprised that the jacquard is easy to clean - the potential tote i want to get would be my first jacquard piece. i was worried about discoloration/stains/dirt but that doesn’t sound like much of an issue! are your [jacquard] pieces holding up well?
thanks in advance!

Yeah, they hold up fine. (Mind you, I am pretty easy on my possessions though, in that I don't put them on floors, or food tables, or hurl them into the car from the opposite side. ;) )

Smudges and dirt though, like daughter's ... just pull out a gentle soap and warm water. Hand rub it with your fingers a little (don't use too hard of bristles or anything, or you'll make the threads "fuzzy").

It's a sturdy cloth. Just don't beat it over a rock or something and you're fine. :)
