I love the Bleeker tote. I bought one in Navy years ago at a consignment shop and it sealed my love of vintage n classic Coach. Save me. I know I used all my bag karma up on shiny Lite Tote.

I have a big red Bleeker tote. It was a hard rehab. It had ink stains inside. It was the first time I had the ink stains bleed through to the outside finished leather. Ugh. Now I steer clear of ink blobs. Anyway, I did end up following advice from the thread and using the acrylic craft paint blended to match, stirred into CPR. It worked pretty well. Less is more when doing this. I used a teeny, tiny paint brush and dabbed little dots. I find reds and "tans" need to be almost perfect for me to buy. They are a pain in the arse and I need quick instant gratification. I hate working on a bag forever.
These two seem cheap enough to take a risk. What they have going, IMO, is there is no lotion staining on the handles. I'm too lazy to look up the sizes tonight to see how big they are. (I'm picky and like big bags) $20 a piece for the BIN seems like a good price to risk and/or practice on.
I [emoji173]️ the big Bleekers, too. Very comfortable to carry.

Helloooooo Rehabbers!!

Brandy newbie rehabber here. Starting on my first and second attempts! A City Bag and a Station Bag. The City Bag is coming along fairly well. A few coats of Leather CPR and a coat of Blackrock, and it is night a day! It still has some stains on the top and one on the back, suggestions?

The Station Bag on the other hand. This poor baby is so dry that it is just drinking in the leather CPR and barely shows anything. The pic of the turn lock is after several coats of Leather CPR and one of Blackrock. Do I just keep applying these or is there something else I can do?

Thanks all!!

Must throughly dunk and throughly rinse. Add a bit of white vinegar to the rinse bath. Lightly scrub with a very soft nail brush on the leather and hardware.(hardware will look brighter)
While it's stuffed to shape and dry, start conditioning. One coat every 24 hours or so depending on how fast it's drying. Move it around and change out your towels to get the shape you want.
We all do each step probably a little differently, but we all do it kinda the same, if that makes sense.
No right or wrong. Every bag is different.

15 " across the top /zipper by 10" high, I have a beater black one I bought from Mercari shipped $11 on the hall closet doorknob. So it's not the huge one. I am still undecided, so please, ANY one buy them, lol. Not like I don't have bags in these colors. But this is a great style *sigh* . . .

Has anyone been successful in getting a missing rivet replaced when sending a bag in for repair? I have a rivet dinky with suede lining and it is missing 1 rivet (not disclosed by the seller and I didn't notice in the main photo). I am unsure if coach can repair due to the lining and don't want to waste $ shipping to them. I've searched this forum, but don't see anyone success stories for sending to coach and getting repaired.

My other option is just to go to a craft store and get something close and glue on, or try to affix myself. Any advice?

You might ask a shoe or luggage repair store if they can replace the rivet, it should be fairly inexpensive.

Coach city bag after - 1.jpg Coach City Bag Before.jpg Ok, y'all...reading back through posts trying to learn. This brown city bag I am working on..... I went about things backwards, being the newbie that I am. I did Leather CPR and Blackrock first. Then I dunked it. When I dunked it, the water came out the color if iced tea. After a soak in cool water and dawn, I rinsed it and let it soak in plain water. The water was a very weak tea color this time. I stuffed it with towels. This morning I put on a coat of Leather CPR. It looks much better, but it smells of Ben Gay muscle rub.

On the right track?

This is the before photo, it is much darker right now, perhaps because it is still damp. I don't mind, as long as it looks nice.

Looks so much better! It might stay a little darker, that happens with the lighter brown bags after a dunk. It's a nice shade :)
