Hey guys long time rehabber just lurking today. No new projects. Have not been around for a while....
I was the poster who suggested Vintaj patina a while back....someone posted a few pages ago about the rub and buff and color transfer. ..the vintaj should not rub off on leather if you apply the sealer that you can buy for it. It does leave a slight sheen though so YMMV. It may work for you depending on your project.

Thanks! I'll give it a try on a beater bag.

Nice to see you around again! I also put aside my rehab projects for quite awhile too, but now I am slowly picking some up again - mostly easy ones!

Calling it a night *waves* Big day tomorrow. Going to dunk *shiny* tote (wish me luck) and show off my new RED pocket bag to y'all tomorrow.
Update time. So late yesterday afternoon, I dunked the Lite Tote with unnatural, mystery product induced shine. Today I am somewhat optimistic. It seems like it still may have more shine than it should, but several large water-type stains are gone, much to my surprise!!! She appears to be cleaning up amazingly. I just applied more Leather Therapy, so she's not very pretty looking at the moment, so tomorrow night I may post a prelim pic. The leather bag gods  love :heart:me , at least for today. Sorry ex-hippie sister, no bag for you!
I'll go over to vintage chat and show off my  RED  pocket bag soon!

After a dunk in water just a little warmer than I normally use with about an ounce of Lexol leather cleaner in about 2-2 1/2 gallons of water for 20 min with a thorough scrub with a toothbrush, 20 min soak/rinse in warm water, drain, 3 applicatio s of Leather Therapy Restorer/Conditioner over 36 hours, here it is! Blackrocks to come. Pardon the lighting.20170627_200939.jpg 20170627_201638.jpg

Thank you! I cannot believe my lucky *vintage bag* stars! Who knows what the story was behind that shiny coating, but it didn't interfere with removing those watermarks. And again, thanks for suggesting to correct the problem with the strap by loosening the d ring ; )
The downside to this rehab?? It will make me want to go after another light colored bag! But for now, I just
want to feel the luv . I have to say, I am really connecting with the lightweight leather much more than I thought I would.

I'm wearing my red with turquoise scarf this week.

Hi fellow Coach rehab-ers,

Your bags are all so lovely--great job with the restorations!!:heart:

I recently purchased a large envelope portfolio bag and it was unfortunately not as described. Instead of excellent restored condition, as noted in the online listing, I received a bag that was extremely dry all around with the beginnings of cracks and bubbling on the top flap (photos attached). This bag was way more expensive than it should have been given the condition and I can't return it, so I'm hoping one of you miracle workers might have advice or tips on how to restore it!

(On a related note, please use caution purchasing items on Poshmark. I purchased the bag on this site and they would not let me return the item even though the description was inaccurate )

Many thanks in advance!IMG_20170627_191435.jpg IMG_20170627_191511.jpg IMG_20170627_191524.jpgIMG_20170627_191558.jpg IMG_20170627_191605.jpg
