It looks great! I want a city bag in red and you're right...it's a difficult color to rehab. I rehabbed one several years ago and like you, had a few black spots appear.
Thank you! [emoji2]

This is my "tasteful" original tassel on one of my fav coach purses 3796. And the 3 homemade ones. I couldn't find as tasteful clips at the times, but have since found better ones.View attachment 3189253

Thought I would share how the City turned out after a bath, brasso, and multiple coats of leather CPR. She's not perfect but brighter and softer than ever! Exciting! A few black marks showed up after the conditioning that hadn't been there before but I read on here that happens sometimes and might fade with time. Either way I'm very happy. Thank you ladies for your wonderful advice! I will be keeping my eye out for future projects now [emoji2]
Here is a D&B tassel ( off of a purse I have) I really love the green underside, the stitching , which coach does that lovely stitching too. The stitching is the tricky part. It requires button thread, and a good leather punch. On the right is "my" start attempt that needs lots more work, but you get the idea.View attachment 3189373

Wow, looks great. I love mine so much, hope you enjoy yours!
Nice! Are you cutting with scissors or an Xacto knife?
Beautiful!
Good luck on the stain. That's one of my favorite styles! Check the rivets. On some of the older versions, they have a tendency to fail.Hi everyone! I haven't been here in a while, marching band season doesn't leave me much time for rehabbing. I am hoping to get back in the swing of things after Thanksgiving. My first project will be this sad case that arrived yesterday:
I'm sure it's some sort of oil/grease stain, so cornstarch here we come!![]()
