These are my two latest projects. They are over on the authentication thread. I hope they work out. So many fakes around.

Here's the before:
Here's some after -- have not put on the final coat, which would be blackrocks, but as you can see they are already looking much better.
Thanks! I am also going to make a tassel charm this evening like the one shown earlier in this thread. It won't be for either of these, but to adorn some other bag I've rehabbed recently. One day I will stage a group shot of all my pretties. Love this hobby: let's me work with my hands to rescue some lovely Americana, with satisfying results. And it's much less expensive than, say, fixing up old houses or cars, as some folks do. Tonic for someone with a cerebral day job and not a lot of time or money. They're coming out very well, I'd say! It's amazing what a little TLC will do.
Here is my homemade tassel -- kind of crude, since I cut my own fringe out of a swatch of an old purse. I don't think I will leave it on this beat up Patty, but I think it is a credible first effort.I guess we all are "crazy" in our own way--- but it is so nice to see people that are "crazy" like us being coach rehabbers.
We will have to post our tassels. I had a coach purse with a "tasteful" tassel I used as a model for some homemade ones.

UPDATE:
I finally found my Post Pouch, a black one. What a sweet little bag -- well worth the wait!
Seems like she didn't get used much. She's missing her hang tag, so I made a little tassel for her.
Before, during and after rehab:

Thought I would share how the City turned out after a bath, brasso, and multiple coats of leather CPR. She's not perfect but brighter and softer than ever! Exciting! A few black marks showed up after the conditioning that hadn't been there before but I read on here that happens sometimes and might fade with time. Either way I'm very happy. Thank you ladies for your wonderful advice! I will be keeping my eye out for future projects now [emoji2]
