that's great, I'll try it. thank you! When dying leather I have always used a product called Eco-Flo by Tandy Leather. I have used it on very worn spots, like piping, that had color but needed some shine as buffing didn't bring it back to life as well as I liked. It is available on Amazon. A little goes a long ways. I think it would work well on your boo boo holiday123. Pic includedView attachment 3186709
definitely. In my opinion, some conditioners are fine for new bags just to preserve and protect them. For rehabbed bags you need heavier duty conditioners like CPR. You can get CPR at Bed Bath and Beyond. Sometimes it is at Tuesday Morning, TJ Maxx or Marshalls. They also have a version of it at some tack shops.Hello! I currently have Kiwi conditioner but hear very good things about Leather CPR. In your experience do you think I would notice a big difference if I tracked some down for my City? Thanks! [emoji2]

I think it is very important to get Blackrocks too. That you will probably have to order online.
ETA: the other day I saw a woman carrying a vintage city bag. I wanted to tell her how nice it would look if it was rehabbed but I didn't dare!
You could also use an acrylic varnish. I use the kind they sell in craft stores. They make it in matte and shiny versions.any recommendation for a leather refinishing spray for coach pebbled leather borough? I had a purple marker mark on my blue chambray, stupidly cleaned it with goof off and ended up with an ugly 6" white streak, proceeded to paint with matching color, but now want to put a top coat over it to make sure the paint stays. Not sure if this is true, but I asked at Sherwin Williams for acrylic paint and sales lady told me all their paint was acrylic...I have some edge kote in neutral laying around, would this work? Will try to upload pics if I can figure it out..

Great info - thanks so much, and for your fast response. This has really been bugging me.Ps, that bump in your strap I have found in many straps ( but not on the old heavy leather styles like the Janice) that were hung up for years and that is where the leather broke down. I have found no fix. You can see this on the black strap that was actually on the "good" Black purse, I just love to switch straps around.View attachment 3187305
I hear you! I can't take the straps off of the Sonomas, so luckily I have enough shelves to store them on. If I run out of shelves then I guess I'll know it's time to stop buying.Frankly, the "correct" way to store coach bag straps are to take them off and put them inside. Of course, we all don't have shelves to put the purses on to store. What we "restore" is the misused ones or old styles that have been in piles for years.
