Wow, that's amazing! It looks great. What a gorgeous color. That is a Madison accordion wallet.

Thank you Whateve, I really like the color and now I hope to be able to find the acrylic paint to use on the Peyton.

In the future I am going to try this on ink, who knows.. may be patience and extreme caution is what it takes, LOL

As always, thanks for your expertise, whateve! Would you recommend passing on it?
I'm on the fence. I'd probably pass it up. It isn't that cheap.
I'd love one of those bags, they're so darn cute but I don't have the guts to try and tackle it. Good luck!
For the price, I couldn't pass it up.
And I am sure that it will look like that. I have seen your "miracles" before :smile1:
Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Not sure if helpful but I always try to share when something works for me :smile1:

I won a set of I believe Peyton Legacy and matching wallet in a very pretty green. The wallet had the most damage, some black and white stains that I had no clue what they were, but I mostly wanted the bag that only had a bit of wear at the bottom edges.

After using first the Coach leather cleaner and my white rag turning brown, I saw that the white stuff was like some sticky residue and was cleaned, the leather was also clean but the black marks (there were some also under the white spots), was not going anywhere. I tried my trusted eraser that had cleaned spots and ink on other leathers, but nothing... Rubbing hard with the cleaner was starting to take the color, so.. I just tried this.
A toothpick dipped in the cleaner carefully rubbing/scrapping spot by spot and crease by crease, look at the result!

I still can not tell if it was ink, some kind of mildew, paint... but it worked and I am loving the wallet (mint inside).

Nice job! And I love the color [emoji2]

Hi! What do you think about this bag? Those rips are pretty gnarly IMO - is there anyway to repair them?

Thanks for your help!

"Indications of stress" looks like "torn" to me! Not just the piping, but the body of the bag itself, next to the seam, is torn. Very hard to repair yourself, and too expensive to pay someone else to try it, if it could even be done.

Seller calls this "good condition with wear from normal usage"?

Probably fake. Never buy this style without getting it authenticated. It is very popular with counterfeiters.

I have seen this bag listed before. It is a fake, it was previously listed with a picture of the fake creed. The seller probably took out the creed picture because it showed it was fake.

dustytodiamonds - I found a listing from February, 2015 that doesn't show the creed either.

Although it could be lighting, does anyone else think the grommets look silver as compared to the brass buckle?

Here's something I tried today on some ink marks on the inside of a hard leather bag. It's not a Coach bag but I'm hoping this might be useful to some of you here.

I used a coarse pumice stone, a medium-coarse sandpapery covered spongy thing, and a fine-grade pedicure tool designed to smooth rough feet. I rubbed the ink marks, then rubbed gently over the entire surface. Then I brushed it all over with a nail brush. I like the result! The surface became softer, almost like suede, and the ink marks faded almost completely away. (I need to go back and work on that upper right corner some more.)

I was careful to avoid rubbing the stitching.

Most of the time ink won't clean off of leather. If the leather is shiny, sometimes the ink won't soak in and you can wipe it off with a mild cleaner.

There are many products (alcohol, acetone or hairspray, which is mostly alcohol, acne cream, Amodex) that help remove ink but they will also lighten the surrounding area and you'll end up with an even more noticeable spot. More than likely the ink will be lightened but not gone.

Usually the best thing to do is try to cover it up with acrylic paint or Leather refinisher.

I see, thank you whateve. I did try with few round of saddle soap but the pen mark stayed on my light beige/cream colour bag. It is a pity that I cannot rescue my bag without making surrounding area lighter. My friend suggested redye but I do not want to spend so much money. Oh no, my sister is going to be upset if she find out I was not careful with the bag I pleaded her to give me. [emoji30]
