Hello Ladies,

I have a Coach Borough bag in washed chambray in pebbled leather that I purchased recently from eBay that has corner wear on several of the corners. I have read on previous posts about using acrylic paint mixed with Lexol to take care of the corner wear.

I don't have Lexol, but I do have Leather CPR cleaner/conditioner. Would that be allright to mix with the acrylic paint? Or do I need to buy the Lexol? Also how do you apply the mixture to the bag once you are ready to apply? Some type of brush? Or something else?

Thanks.
Yes! I've done this a few times. Just be sure to match the paint exactly, and use maybe a BB size (or the smallest drop you can get) to about a teaspoon of Leather CPR. I usually use my fingers to apply it and basically dab at it with just a little bit, then leave a small glob right on the spot, let it dry for an hour or so then buff. If it needs more, I add it after the buffing. The paint should have no problem coming off your hands, but oddly soaks right into the leather.

What would you suggest for this bleecker bag? It's been dunked. The color loss was apparent before dunking.

A second pic. Was considering mixing camel colored tarrago dye with conditioner and applying to the bag, avoiding dye on the areas where the original color is brighter. Thoughts, please?

Am assuming this bag was camel colored originally? Brass hardware...

I'd avoid dye. It is likely to come out blotchy and I'm not sure how it would mix with conditioner.I would just condition and buff it and live with it. It's a lovely bag.

I agree with this. I have an embarrassing number of Bleecker duffles and the colors all vary between the body, strap and strap attachment areas

Condition and enjoy!

I've been considering this color. The funny thing is I really don't like yellowy camel colors, but I would love it if it is more of a natural, like the way vachetta looks before it darkens.

I agree, I think dye would be a bad idea.

Well, this particular bag is definitely more toward the natural pale color.

Except for the camel colored areas. The pics are true to color.

Whether another bag of this kind would look this way i don't know. This bag was obviously loved and used.

Heavily used.

Wound up bringing up the heavy guns--applied obernaufs.

She is now a much happier bag (although no darker)--and so am i!

The leather on these bags looks heavily used even with just a little use. The leather used on the trim, like the snap square on the front, is completely different and almost always appears to be a different color. They were probably all dyed the same but different types of leather take color differently. The difference isn't as pronounced on dark colors.

I'm glad you are happier with it. I love my Bleeckers.

Hi I was directed here by whateve. I purchased a purse #128668 and it could use some rehabbing. There are marke/stains on interior lining, white spots on leather and some spots where colour has been rubbed off. Please see attached pictures.

Sorry for all the pictures
