I asked the seller about this and didn't get a a satisfactory answer so I didn't bid. I suggest you get a clear answer from the seller to the question"Is it black on the outside and brown on the inside?" If the answer is yes, request that she cancel the transaction. If you do decide to go ahead and receive it, you can always return it.So apparently this crescent bag I won yesterday is black outside, brown inside?! Should I brace myself for some rehab hell by stocking up on acetone? I don't know yet if its shoe polish or something else. Hopefully I'll know more soon but now I'm totally kicking myself for buying the bag.
Great job. Light coloured bags are a nightmare. You did well! Here's a recent rehab success story I thought I'd share. This is a Kristin Leather Satchel that I almost missed. I was at the GW and had already picked through everything. I was standing in a long line waiting to check out, eyes wandering... and there she was-- hanging on a back peg all squished and dirty. She was so flat and wrinkled and dirty I feel my before pics aren't as bad as she really was. And bonus-- found her hangtag stuffed in a pocket so just had to replace the ball chain. First I used a cuticle brush with straight Dawn on the muddy spots, then directly into a warm bath. Once she was stuffed and dried I attacked the coffee stains (!) with a Tide bleach pen, then slowly worked her all over with a rag and Leather Honey cleaner (properly diluted) to get the residual grunge out of the wrinkles and creases. Really had to go over the handles twice with the LH cleaner. Then 2 coats of Leather CPR followed by a final coating of Bick 4 conditioner... and voila! There are still some minor little scuffs and a little wear on the bottom corners but I really didn't think she would clean up so good![]()
Great job! That's an amazing transformation! Maybe I shouldn't shy away from white bags so much, since between that and knowing that zit cream works it doesn't seem quite so scary anymore. Here's a recent rehab success story I thought I'd share. Yeah, that's what she said--that's it's black on the outside, brown on the inside. The seller also doesn't accept returns so that means going through eBay for a return. It'll be my first time I've had a major issue, but I'll probably assess the situation when I have the bag in my hands.I asked the seller about this and didn't get a a satisfactory answer so I didn't bid. The colour change is not mentioned in the listing so she should be willing to cancel it rather than go through the hassle of a return. Whether it's dye, refinisher or polish it's going to be a PITA to clean off!Yeah, that's what she said--that's it's black on the outside, brown on the inside. Do I need to do anything on my end to cancel it other than talk to the seller? Or should I just go through eBay to get the transaction cancelled? AFAIK, they haven't shipped the bag and they took their sweet time responding to my question until after I had paid. The colour change is not mentioned in the listing so she should be willing to cancel it rather than go through the hassle of a return. wow, amazing transformation! I wonder what kind of person allows a bag to get into that horrible condition.
Wow! Kristin looks beautiful now! It always amazes me how some people can mistreat their bags.

Have you paid?Do I need to do anything on my end to cancel it other than talk to the seller? Or should I just go through eBay to get the transaction cancelled? AFAIK, they haven't shipped the bag and they took their sweet time responding to my question until after I had paid.
Good to know. I've already paid, but I don't think they've shipped yet. I sent her a nicely worded message basically saying "Hey I restore Coach bags and the broken turnlock doesn't scare me. But the two different colors do. Can we just cancel the transaction?"Have you paid?
You can't cancel from your end but you can initiate a return.
Or you can just ask her to cancel which she has to do from her end then you agree to it.
If you choose to return it you have a choice about the reason. It could be "I changed my mind" or "Item not as described". The latter will get her a defect. A cancellation will also get her a defect.
Hmmmm. My guess would be someone who didn't pay for it herself.wow, amazing transformation! I wonder what kind of person allows a bag to get into that horrible condition.
Yikes! I just got one of those in purple for Christmas (great bag BTW!) I'd say they definitely beat it up. It's also supposed to come with leather tassels but judging from how it looks like the seller's already tried dunking the bag...I'm guessing they're in just as bad shape as the rest of the bag.look at the pink stains on the lining. Do you think they tried to wash the purse?

It looks horrible for a bag that is only a few years old! Anyone up for a rehab challenge?
I agree it is a great bag. I have 4! I hope I remember this in case I ever have the urge to dunk them!Yikes! I just got one of those in purple for Christmas (great bag BTW!)
