So i have this bag...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Green...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Which was authenticated ...

Now, i have washed it, and that's done. But I've never worked with this type of coach leather. It seems different from dooney awl.

Suggestions for conditioners please, and thank you!
Did it end up being this bag, around 15 inches wide? I couldn't tell from the pictures.

It is different from Dooney. It isn't as stiff. It rehabs nicely. You can use normal conditioners on the smooth leather. For the pebbled leather, you need to be careful not to put on anything that might leave residue in the nooks and crannies. I've used Blackrocks on mine.

Yes...the main color is forest green with bt straps and base.

About 15 x 10 1/2. Very pretty bag. Got the strap fixed.

The cobbler did say that a rivet secures the strap beneath the lining, and that eventually the other 3 would need replacing.

As i won't be loading this heavily, didn't opt to do that.

Congratulations! You got a beautiful bag. I think it would have sold for more if the seller had decent pictures.

That's one of the nice things about eBay--occasionally you'll run across an auction where the seller has no idea what they've got and you get a steal! I got a Coach Sheridan Monticello not that long ago for $40 when its going for $130. It really isn't that hard to do the research, but not a lot of sellers are willing to do it.

So I just dunked this satchel, which has these two nicks in the piping. I searched a bit here and see leather cement mentioned - is that what I should use for this? And the top folded over edge of the interior pocket is undone on one side - just a little super glue? Thanks!

You can use Leather Cement for both. I think the super glue might make a stiff spot.

Excellent - thanks. Are there preferred brands or is it the same no matter the brand.
I don't know. I have Fiebings. Two.time.bags has a different brand. Tandy probably makes one too. You don't want something like Shoe Goo that can't be used to build up an edge. I've used fabric puff paint on some edges with success.

I have never worked on this type of bag, but I bet water wouldn't hurt it. If you got it wet, you could stuff it so it dried smooth. You'd have to soak it enough to make a difference and get the entire thing wet so you don't end up with a water ring. I've washed several fabric bags without a problem.

If you are afraid to wet it, first you can try hanging it in a steamy bathroom while you take a shower.

I wonder if it is bonded to something and that is causing the problem?
I thought it might have a guard or something bonded as well, but as I was touching it, it feels like the actual material is creased. I can smooth it temporarily just by using my finger, but the second it is moved it creases back up....so annoying! I braved the iron on low and had a towel between it....no luck. I think dunking it might be my only option besides possibly drycleaning it. Thanks for the info!

I use Eco Flo. I also use Leatherique filler on areas where the piping has worn away rather than just split. Super glue is not really suitable for leather because leather is absorbent. You need a cement to weld the leather together.

Thanks for the info. It already looks a million times better after washing. Funny thing is the Ebay photos really don't look anything like it, but since it was only $25, I'm ok with it!

Same bag. Am wondering if anyone knows what color this was called. It's too light to be british tan-( i think )

Will need to retouch corners and edges, and am going to buy a dye, once i figure out which one. Thank you for any suggestions!!
I think it is camel. It doesn't look like it needs dye. I think conditioning, or using my paint mixed with conditioner trick, will be enough.
