Hi Everyone,

I have a question about Apple Care Cleaner and Conditioner and apologize if there's a thread on this already - please direct me to it if there is. Do you recommend the regular Apple Care Cleaner and Conditioner or the Apple Care Wax Free Cleaner and Conditioner which states it doesn't darken the leather?

thanks!

Good to know! Is there a way you can "hide" a listing while you're working on it so people don't try to buy it? (I know it won't happen immediately, but I'd rather not chance it.)

Somewhere there is a draft function. After you type in things and add photos you choose preview, then after you preview, you can save as a draft. But I would copy and save your descriptions so you have a backup. You can also hide the listing easily by going to the listing, choose edit, and etsy will ask you if you want to hide the listing while you edit. Save your description text in a word or note program because I have had to start over too many times before I got smart! Plus you can copy and paste things into your next listing. Shipping profiles are extremely handy too.

Remember, fun, this is fun!
If your listing is active, you can deactivate it. When you reactivate it, you don't have to pay again as long as there is still time remaining. If you go to your listings manager, there are buttons above labeled renew, deactivate, delete, etc. Just select your listing and click the button.

I've never had a listing disappear from etsy. Every listing I've ever had, whether sold, deactivated or expired, since I started 2 years ago is still accessible.

I have no idea. Most of us rehabbers don't use Apple. It is more of a maintenance conditioner for newer bags.

I would think the regular would provide more protection because of the wax. The wax free would only be used if you had a light colored bag and you were worried about darkening.

Thanks for the tip! I'm debating if I should just save it in a document for later so I don't have to pay for it right away.

For a while I thought she might be saddle but after soaking up coat after coat of LT then Obenauf's and Black Rock she's tan I think. (That's sunlight not lighter spots on the front flap).
Gorgeous! That may be the motivation I need to keep working on that stinky saddlery bag. Does anyone have experience washing bags in a watered down bleach solution? I'm starting to wonder if its mold thats buried itself into the bag. The bag has dark spots on it, and vinegar doesn't seem to do anything. I tried epsom salts but now it just smells like musty and epsom salts! (sigh.) I saw on TetonDeb's blog that she's done it, so now I'm wondering if that'll help the mold that just won't die! Putting it outside isn't an option this time of year--the last couple days have been super windy and tomorrow we're getting our first real snow of the season.

Hi everyone! I've been so busy for the last several months I can't keep up with all of your lovely work! Two.time I'm having total bag envy over that Hudson-- and your dappling of sunlight and background of green! They are calling for snow tonite here. If it actually comes it will be our first of the season.

So thought I'd post a group of bags I finally got to work on this past week. The Court Bag was the biggest mess to start with, and it still has some unevenness but that's the beauty of patina, right? Here they are: a City Bag, a Shelbourne and a Court Bag, all in British Tan, before and after.

You guys are such miracle workers here! I have popped in and out and always get wrapped up in the comments and pictures, then forget that I was going to post and ask questions!

I gave this purse a bath and it is now all streaked and looks like carp! It has several dark places on it that are "L" shaped. Unknown the culprit but looks like the width of a thicker sharpie or magic marker. Doomed for a dye job? Suggestions welcome. It has already been conditioned twice.

WhatEve thought maybe it had shoe polish on it, but I have just started this rehabbing so I don't know what I am looking for.

Haha, I know what you mean. I'm planning stuff to do in the spring and its weird doing that with our first snow coming.
Great job on the rehabs! They definitely look completely new. Maybe tomorrow I can get some work done on mine since I know I'm not going anywhere.
