I love unintentional two tone!Cruising right along! Two more rehabs done, a small sidepack and a compact pouch. Both easy because great condition bags. I decided NOT to touch up any color on the sidepack piping, I kind of like the two-tone effect.

Gorgeous! This was an easy rehab but I wanted to share it because I haven't had much experience with rehabbing signature bags or MFF bags. But I felt that this was a pretty, summery bag and I’ve always loved kisslock bags, so I went for it; and I was very pleased with the results!
The bag is the Laura Carryall F14940 that was made in 2008. The color is Fuchsia with Nickel Hardware.
The bag was in really good condition and it is a generous size, but there were some signs of wear. It was soiled in a few areas including the bottom corners, sides, and some areas of the light-pink lining.
I tried surface-cleaning but it didn’t help much so I dunked it in Dawn and scrubbed it with a soft brush; then I stuffed it with towels to shaped it, and it dried quickly.
Then I just applied Leather CPR to the straps and trim and I sprayed it with Apple Garde to protect it from water and stains. Finally, I gently buffed the hardware to make it shine. The bag looked so nice that I decided to give it to my friend for her birthday, and she loves it! Here name is Laura and she loves the color pink, so it was a great choice for her!
The first 4 pics below are before the rehab, and the last picture is after rehab, but it’s a rather dark photo you can’t really see how bright and clean it is now!
Beautiful! Love compact pouches. There’s something so appealing about the simple proportional shape.Cruising right along! Two more rehabs done, a small sidepack and a compact pouch. It was really thin leather. It was also exceedingly crackly and dry. But I think I got it in a better state. It's not like the thick, smooth vintage structured bag leather, that's for sure.Did you find the leather to be different, like my brown one? Not bad different just different?

I thought you might like an update! I took good photos for the AT post. It turns out there was a red ink stain in one corner and the other side had extreme elephant skin at the bottom. The inside was not bad looking at all. I had a good feeling this bag would improve nicely with deep conditioning. I wasn’t expecting like new, but for the leather to regain the rich burgundy hue and get a boxy shape back and stand on its own. This bag was well used and it will LOL enjoy retirement with me and who ever owns it next.I feel the bag is starting to tell me its secrets. I will give it an app of LT R&C soon and put some thin towels in the inside pockets that run the length of the bag. Pardon the evening lighting. I like what the bubble wrap is doing.
@moreau_md I saw your posts in AT and thought you might want to watch!

After a dunk with Lexol leather cleaner, a little Dawn, toothbrush scrub, pressing/blotting the ink stain with microfiber cloths for 20 min, rinse with a cup of vinegar, 15 minutes I let the water drain off. It was 6 pm by this time. Before bed I gave it an app of Leather Therapy RC and lined the full length inner pockets with small towels and stuffed with bubble wrap and put it in its side -@ConnieinSeattle for that pro tip. For the next few days, I would give it an app of CPR and flip it. Changed out the small towels at least mid day too. Now it has a thin pool noodle in the bottom. Fussed and buffed a lot. I liked that laying it on its side helped the bottom of the bag dry nice and instead of pooching out.
The d rings looked like gunmetal, not brass!! I did not think to work on them with Cape Cod clothes first. But just using a jewelry polishing cloth on a whim (I thought it was too far gone) made a big difference on a ring (it doesn’t show as clearly, but in the close up, the left has a nice shine and looks like brass) so I will work on that this weekend. It needs Renapur to finish. I’m in 💕🥰 It stands up so nicely!

I had the same experience. It looks good now (mine also needed Juvacuir) but it is definitely different leather. Very thin and different even from other lightweights. I just think it’s sort of interesting because the Dixon Mini seemed like kind of anomaly in style and original catalog placement too. 🤔It was really thin leather. It was also exceedingly crackly and dry. But I think I got it in a better state. It's not like the thick, smooth vintage structured bag leather, that's for sure.
It is cute, though! I love the double rings and how the strap fits/sits when you open the bag.I had the same experience.
