I just  those big belt buckles. I have been wanting to test drive this style for a while to see if I want to splurge on the one with orange-y rust leather! Or the white/denim combo. But I can wait till I find flying under the radar for cheap.

I love this style! The leather is super smooth and amazing. At one time, I had three colors in leather. Now I'm down to one - rust. The wine is really beautiful too but I realized I never reach for that color so got rid of all my burgundy bags. The dyes they used weren't consistent so expect the little pieces that attach the straps on the sides and the piece in the front under the buckle to be a different color from the rest of the bag.

Omg I remember you posting on these! Gorgeous. I have eyed the khaki sig with a bright orange flap and trim; now you reminded me of these :girlsigh:

Ahh giving eye teeth and all that for that wine. I'm usually not too keen on embellished bags, but these are stunning. Style plse ?
The large flap is 11419. They made one with less embellishment - 12405 - but I don't know if it came in wine. All part of the Bleecker collection from 2007. There are also duffles.

Thanks @whateve - I will keep my eyes peeled for a wine. For some reason I still struggle with "collections" like lightweights and Bleekers and some others. The only ones I believe I have finally pinned down are the Dakotas (but not positive about those either :) ).

They reuse names so it makes it confusing. Bleecker was used for many different collections. They even reused Dakota a few times but they spelled it Dakotah.

I so wanted one of these with the gorgeous straps....

But I've run out of Kidneys!!!

Thanks for posting this snippet. That Bleeker French purse wallet in tan is on my HG list. I did find it in denim jacquard.
I have the checkbook wallet in a darker brown with fuchsia lining. I think it may be been called mahogany but it isn't as dark as mahogany usually is. I didn't need it but when I found it listed for $20 I couldn't resist.

Okay, I am in need of more advice after another (!) rehabbing mistake.

After dunking my brown skinny tote, I applied Obenauf's Oil. My thinking was that the leather seemed SO dry, and the oil had been helpful on my navy Stewardess (still in progress). But, the oil really darkened the leather and left the bag looking uneven.

Photos included:
1) how the bag arrived
2) after the first dunk
3) after Obenauf's Oil (showing the interior pocket with no oil for comparison)
4) after the second dunk, which I hoped would remove the oil (it did not)

I thought the bag was some shade of tan (BT? Tabac?), but is it possible the bag was just very dry dark brown? I'm thinking not
and that the bag now needs a degreaser like @squeakyrose used.

Any thoughts and tips appreciated! @Lake Effect now you can see pictures of my mistake

This style was my first rehab and first disaster. I think you should condition normally with something like CPR now that you have dunked again. You can't afford to let the leather dry out. If you hadn't dunked again, I would have said just let it sit for a couple of weeks. I think the oil would eventually soak in enough that the color would even out. Even now, I think there is a good chance that with enough time, it will improve just by sitting there.
