Someone, I think it might have been @Lake Effect, once said time is the rehabber’s friend. Truer words rarely spoken! Talking with @chup about tan bags reminded me of my little 2000 Costa Rica camel small hippie flap (9135) from last fall. Some of you may remember the journey with this ‘little bag that kept giving (stains and scratches)’, that I posted pics of along the way. (@ConnieinSeattle this is the degreaser bag.) Well, after all that, she’s been resting in her flannel for a few months and look at her now! Perfect for our sunny May day. I have to say this little cutie makes me disproportionately happy bc numerous times I thought she was headed back to the donation pile. 🥰
It was not me; but a quick search shows it was @LunaSilver. But this looks like a great product! Glad you brought it up.

While we're sharing products, here's what i'm playing with. Inflatable air pillows to use to stuff/reshape the purses, while drying. Here's a dixon mini and a scooter. We'll see if the little balloons hold their air. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQX8KMS4?th=1

Thanks for bringing this up. I feel really challenged when it comes to shaping bags. I have been stockpiling bubble wrap after you mentioned stuffing bags with it.

Hi everyone, the rust is fairly deep. What level of sandpaper grit would you recommend? I tried Flitz but it would take forever to remove the rust layer. Thanks in advance!
I always use the finest (smallest) grit on the solid brass hardware. You can alway sand more, this way you have more control. I usually follow up with brasso as well, kind of smoothes out any scratch marks.

I really like the small bubble(s) wrap, so you can really cram it into the bottom corners and puff them out. These pillows are kind of bigger and could leave gaps. So the Dixon mini, I'm using a combo of shop towels and air pillows. I'm also running out of bubble wrap! :)

I’ll be interested to see how you like the Dixon Mini. The brown one I did a few months ago turned out well after some extra effort but I never did learn to love the leather on it.
