Hello

I bought this slim satchel compact (authenticated on the forums) for £9 off eBay recently ($11 roughly) and have just done a rehab on it. I am pretty pleased with how it has come out as it is my first ever rehab. It’s not up to expert rehabbers standards I’m sure but for a first go I’m pleased.
The bag had lots of scratches on it and had a nasty spillage stain on the back. I couldn’t get this off totally but made it much less noticeable.
I’m planning on rehabbing my tan Devon bag next This is quite addictive!

I think it's beautiful. I think a little more Leather CPR and Blackrock would even that color out. :) Good job!

Thanks so much. I live in the uk and sadly cannot buy those products for the leather which is very frustrating. So making do with what I can buy here. I currently use Wren leather cream.
Any recommendations from anyone in the UK as to what I can use would be appreciated!

for $11 that was an incredible deal and it looks great! You really have to hustle to get vintage coach on ebay for $20 or less anymore - great find!
Yes it was by far my cheapest find on ebay. I think I benefitted from the bag looking so bad in the photos - it must of put everyone off!
I usually pay around $25-$45 on ebay and in the vintage shops here in Brighton, UK. The vintage coach bags are not so popular/known here so you can get some bargains. I have only been buying vintage Coach bags since May this year and already own 18 , it is very addictive! They are such fabulous bags. I have learnt so much on these forums.

Hey dollyO you can buy leather cpr from Amazon in the UK. You don’t have to use a lot so a little goes a long way

Hello all! I have a Sheridan Wendell tote that I'd like to fix up before I pass it along to a new owner. I've attached pics showing main areas of concern. My rehab experience is pretty limited and my go-to product (Apple Conditioner) didn't have much of an effect. I would greatly appreciate any advice and/ or product recommendations! @MoreCoachPleez ... have you tried leather CPR? I am not the most experienced rehabber but it has worked wonders for me on all my bags. I purchase directly and they send coupons! CPRcleaningproducts.com
Good luck! Show us the results please! thanks!
ETA..they are still doing "win free product" for submitting before and after photos!

Hi, it has been a while since I'v been here. I rehabbed this Courier almost a year ago. I am looking for some advice. I don't carry it much because it is a shoulder bag. I have had shoulder surgery on both sides, and its difficult for me to carry such a heavy bag. I would like a genuine Coach replacement strap, it can be canvas, or anything that would co-ordinate, but most come with clasps and not the brass or nickel holes for the buckle. Is there a way without destroying the integrity of the bag to use a clasp style strap on the buckles safely? Anyone have photos of how they remedied this? Thanks

You can attach most clip on straps to the buckles providing the clips are large enough to handle the large buckles. It might not look great though. A few people also bought buckle on straps and modified them so the buckle prongs would fit in the holes. There are some examples in this thread I think. Coach made some canvas buckle on straps a little while ago, but I don't know if any are still available.

Some brands do this to excess stock to prevent them from being sold. What is says in the description doesn't make sense. To make things final sale, so they couldn't be returned again, Coach marked the creeds rather than making the bags unusable. It is more likely the merchandise was damaged or had flaws and Coach didn't want them to be sold in that condition.
Some of the bags in the photo appear used, even vintage(?) I wonder where the seller obtained them. Curious!

Hi and thanks for the reply! I went on both Coach sites and right now they have nothing. I also looked on several re-seller sites looking and have had little luck. I agree, the straps with the clips more than likely not provide a pleasing aesthetic. I looked at some mens Vintage Coach belts. The canvas/wool belts with the leather ends could work providing I could find a shoe repair person who knew what they were doing. I hope someone out there has a solution that I'm overlooking. When the arts and crafts shows start up again this summer, I will pay special attention to the Leather Crafters out there! Maybe someone can custom make something I want.

The seller tells this story: "My mother managed to coach leather store in the 90s and early 2000 One returns were made. It was required to put a slash through the leather indicating it’s already been returned and can’t be returned again." He had no buyer and he's listed them again: https://www.ebay.com/itm/185703759260

Coach never had a policy as far as I know that returns couldn't be resold, but if they were returned damaged I can see that they would do this.

There is one blue canvas strap on the outlet site in the reserve section right now but you would have to have the eyelets replaced with bigger eyelets.

Any ideas are welcome for what to do here with this Madison Sutton satchel. It had something that spilled on it at one time and ate away the surface. I tried leather CPR it had no effect. So it's not something sitting on the surface. How do I minimize this appearance? Or do I pull out my black dye?

Thanks. I'm going to keep checking the sites weekly to see what is new that will work.
