I’m too excited not to share. I’m so happy I finally stopped lurking and actually created a login. I feel like I finally found my people.

I did a little mini-rehab on this Lula’s Legacy bag and I need to tell someone (anyone) who will appreciate the final outcome.

There is this weirdly separated buckle strap area though… any recommendations on how to fix? I was thinking leather glue and tiny binder clips.

Even little puffy buckle holder weirdness aside - I LOVE HER!

Beautiful! If I didn’t know, I wouldn’t have thought it was the same bag! Nice work.

Hi, I hope this is okay to post here. I’m new to the Purse Forum but a longtime appreciator of both purses and Coach :)

I had been dreaming of getting a vintage Coach 90s bag for years. I have a couple pieces from the recent Coach Originals (which I adore) but they’re nothing like the old stuff! I live in Canada so vintage options are very limited, ordering from abroad is risky and expensive with import duties and shipping rates.

Anyway, I found the City bag of my dreams on my local FB listings! The very kind @BeenBurned authenticated it and told me it’s made in the year 2000. I’m super excited because it got a killer deal and it’s in great shape. It could use some love, though and I wanted to ask the experts here for tips.

What should I use to clean, condition and protect it? It was very flat so I’ve stuffed it with pillowcases, which has given it more life. What do you recommend in general? This is my first preloved and vintage Coach so I’m a total newbie! Don’t want to risk damaging it.

So I just finished the rehab on a Chester canteen bag, black. So beautiful. And as I'm ready to photograph it, I realize the zipper has separated. I had zipped it before and it was fine and now for some reason the zipper is broken.

ETA I tried to repair it myself, and made it worse. Pliers to tighten the sliding mechanism. Now, it won't move at all. :( This might be a job for my leather repair/shoe repair guy. Any advice, tips welcome/

Ask about repair first. Replacement is very expensive. Been there. I would have suggested for you to try exactly what you did try. Sorry to see it made things worse. Figure a price you're ok with before you go. My cobbler is a wizard but very expensive.

Thank you!! Now I'm going to try to pry a screwdriver edge in there and see if I can loosen it. :)

Same here. I have an expensive shoe repair guy, he's good - but charges $30 - $75.
For $75 - you can send it to Coach- that's what they charge for many things. Not sure about a zipper.

Hi, Ryahkoopah! Your bag is gorgeous. There are lots of variants in how people here rehab bags in terms of products used, but the basic procedure is the same. I made a 1-minute video sharing my process and products used. Your bag, looking so great, might only need some Coach brand cleaner now and then.

Thank you Ms Connie, your youtube clip is nicely done !!! However, I thought that we should not use Coach brand cleaners because they contained silicon ???

Thank you so much! I enjoyed your video, that’s such a cute bag :)

I will grab some Coach cleaner and am also considering asking the store if they’ll do a clean for me. In the past they’ve been weird about cleaning Coach products that were gifted to me and weren’t in my purchase history so I’m not sure if they’ll take this.

I would also like the option to wear this as a shoulder bag ideally so I’m wondering if I should get a hole punched by a cobbler. Not firm on that decision yet because it might bring the value down or I might regret it later for some reason. I’m putting too much thought into this and dressing myself out haha
