I SOOO totally agree...the inquisition ???Does this person think they are Jean-Michel Basquait?
If so, they need a reality check. That is not attractive. That is blasphemy.

The ebay ad says:I'm going with the flow here, dye dye dyeHaving said that, I have been watching https://www.ebay.com/itm/234699305517?ViewItem=&item=234699305517 - so if yours is the tortured one, lol what is THAT ??? (I have been watching because I'm curious if someone will actually purchase it)
Dye her and give her back her dignity!Another rehab project for me. This little Abbie was tortured in the name of art.. I think I'm going to dye her black. Does anyone vote for keeping her as is?

Was this painting on Coach bags a fad at some point?
The one, they painted on top of the hardware, too.

The top two are from the Legacy collection. I can't remember specifics but I believe they asked some people to customize a few of them. I don't know if these are from that or if these were independently done. These two look much more professional than what we've been seeing. Was this painting on Coach bags a fad at some point?

Wow, interesting. I found one. https://poshmark.com/listing/Coach-Vintage-hand-painted-Yorkie-small-purse-5acfae4a45b30c8e22af471eGoing back about 5 years ago, Yorkies were popular with the vintage Coach artists
There was a seller on eBay a few years ago, poor command of the English language, Be-Dazzling the tish out of bags. Vintage Coach appears to be the "canvas" for all manner of artistic expression, with apologies to artistic expression.
eta Did anyone save a pic of rose gold glitter Plaza??
Thank you for the insights. The white one with the large flower, I bought that bag today. Cool if it turns out it was something formalized by Coach. The top two are from the Legacy collection. There is a thread somewhere on the forum about painting customization on bags of all brands. There are some amazing artists that create some amazing works.
Coach has had collaborations with artists many times over the last several years. At least one of those artists has done commissioned work on Coach bags. Such as Chelsea Champlain.
Have you ever looked on Coach.com at the upcrafted bags? Now they offer digital printing on bags too.
Hand painted bags can be quite beautiful, depending on the level of talent of the artist of course. Louis Vuitton was doing some hand painted bags so every other designer jumped on the bandwagon, and of course along came the DIY versions with various degrees of success. Luckily with Coach, we can usually restore the truly horrible ones so all is not lost, lol.Was this painting on Coach bags a fad at some point?

I would like to share a very special rehab today from a very special person
My good friend @Morgan_Bellini found & gifted me this courier because she knew I had wanted a regular sized one for a very long time. The original owner had the piping replaced by Coach & as a result, it looks like a beautiful spectator courier! Thank you x 1000 for being the reason I have both of my couriers MB, you are the absolute best! I can’t believe this bag is mine!

She’s gprgeous! But I am interested how you end up with MB as friends. Did you guys meet here and just happened to live in the same place. I want a vintage bag friend as well. Lol!
We met on the forum & no, we don’t even live in the same country.
She swapped a baby courier with me & the rest is history!![]()
Oh! I thought I saw a previous post that you went out for coffee together and were both carrying vintage purses. I must have it mixed up.
Ok...I can't understand why they didn't work with the original colour. Painting it over in white just seems counter intuitive.Working on this test bag to see how to remove paint from leather. I got the bulk of it off just by scraping. Now I'm going to let it dry some and see if the rest of it'll flake off.
