I just purchased another stewardess bag. This one is missing two of the brass grommets on the strap. Anyone have advice on where to find replacement hardware and how to stick it on there? ETA: Nevermind! I found what I was looking for here already. The buckleguy.com. Or: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LY2L8QN (which includes the tool).

Good afternoon! It's been a minute since I posted anything over here. I was sent on the advice of Hyacinth, who authenticated a bag for me earlier today. I haven't put in an offer yet, it is a 9085 Duffle Sack in Navy. It was sold on Poshmark and then resold again by the latest buyer. Both listings say it has a "vintage" smell to it, and when the most recent buyer was questioned about what the "specific" smell is, she said "musty". I am a little leery about putting in an offer for a couple reasons and thought I would consult here with the experts. I have rehabbed bags before and this is a style that I really do want. My rehabbing experience has been basic, dunking, conditioning, polishing etc. No big repairs. Will dunking the bag make the creed disappear even more than it has already? I don't intend to sell the bag, but I do like to know the option is there in case I don't like it in the end. Second thing, are there any smells that can't be eradicated? From reading here, it sounds like mildew can be tackled... thoughts? I would assume if it was something like smoke or mothballs, the sellers would have been specific about that, (but who knows?) I will attach the listing here for your perusal. Thanks so much!

I don't think you'll lose the creed by dunking. Save a picture of the creed before you dunk so you'll have it if you ever sell. Usually they are easier to see in person than in a photo. My only concern about mold is if it has damaged the leather already. I'm not seeing any damage in the pictures. Smells are hard to get rid of but usually not impossible. The only smells I've given up on are perfume smells.

Thanks so much whateve! I'm going to give this one a shot and we'll see what happens. Fingers crossed!

Hi All, I am considering buying this bag, but would love everyone’s opinion on the back of it.
There is discoloration and marks on the back that I think could be alright, but I question if it could be mold damage. Do you all think this looks anything like mold? Thanks in advance!B6299F5C-F723-4AAB-B083-C3C1BDC6C190.jpeg

It is difficult to say, but the spots could have been caused by mould.
