That's exactly what it seems like.

ETA: Is it possible that when you had it in the bath, you squirted soap on that spot?
So I did a little Googling and marks left from hand sanitizer look very similar. If that’s it, then extra moisturizing in that area should help. Anyone spill hand sanitizer (gel) on their leather before?

Ok, why is sage so difficult to photograph? Like a chameleon it seems to change colours depending on the lighting/time of day!

Anyways, I finished rehabbing my new-to-me sage dinky . It didn’t really bleed during the bath & some of the wear is still apparent post-dunk. The marks seem to blend in well so overall, Im still very happy with the results!

Bonus group shot of all my greens! I had to turn the exposure up so that my bottle greens wouldn’t look black. The clouds chose to test my patience today:giggle::

What’s the name of the bag with the handle?

Thanks. I now want one very, very badly. I generally prefer all leather, but…

I would suggest if you decide to buy one, get one that’s already in excellent condition. Too much wear/tear on this bag won’t get fixed with a regular dunk. Also, if you want something a little bigger that looks the same, the Biltmore is like the Gracie’s big brother :).

Thanks. I'll make sure to keep your advice in mind when looking for one.

Kind of everywhere actually. I leaves scratches very easily and the edges still look pretty rough.
I have a stewardess from NYC came to me really dry like yours, the seller thought it was grey. Leather CPR is amazing but I put coats quite frequently while it's drying, using my hands to massage it in. I then used Renapur which has a thick consistency and massaged that in with a sponge. It'll get there

I love your red Biltmore! Here's a catalog picture of Gracie 4413 next to a Biltmore 4417 to show a size comparison.

I've also posted a photo of my Beechnut Gracie (that has a replacement chain strap) next to the large Copley bag 4414 in the Butter color.

Recently I've been carrying my lovely, small Ivory Spence 4400, but the red Carlyle 4401 is probably the Italian coach bag that I carry the most often, see below.

Coach really made some lovely Madison bags in Italy in the 1990s!
