I think they could be grease. Some people have been successful in removing grease spots. I think someone bought a product specifically for that. I've tried cornstarch but it didn't work for me.
I have dealt with both grease splatter and mold (ugh) on bags and I think it looks more like grease. The spots are pretty round and uniform which makes me think grease. I haven't had much luck with grease stains, but I am sure someone has. I have also tried cornstarch and spot applying dawn dish soap without success.
If you think it's mold, there is a product called concrobium mold control that comes in a spray bottle (you can get it in hardware stores) that is excellent for killing mold. I have sprayed the inside suede side of bags with it and have also done vinegar rinses. Both work.

Does anyone want this for a rehab project? Older style large Bleeker in a pretty shade of what looks to me like magent. Heavy brass hardware. Lining is in very good shape. Looks like brass hardware. Pulled it out to sell but cant sell due to spot or stain. Unsure what the stain.

I am absolutely clueless about rehabbing. Perhaps one of you will have better luck.

would Rather have one of you try your luck instead of giving to Goodwill

Since it’s a “write off” for you, Id suggest you rehab it just to see what happens. The stain looks like a watermark which should be easy to remove. Im gonna tag @katev because she’s rehabbed lined bags before .

Thank you. I have ni idea what the mark is and thought a watermark would be difficult. If anyone has any ideas on how to remove it, i would be grateful!

I've rehabbed many lined bags, some of them got a bath and others were just surface cleaned. I think that the Bleecker bags are great rehab projects and I have worked on several of them that survived being dunked quite well.

Below are before and after pics and information about rehabbing a Mahogany Bleecker Woven Pocket Hobo 12378 and I was thrilled with the results. Because your bag is magenta I wouldn't let it soak very long. I would be afraid that the color would run and might stain the lining, but I think a quick bath, a fast scrub, and a good rinse would probably work well. Let me know if you have any questions and good luck!

How do you suggest I clean this bag? It’s Coach Sonoma Backpack, gray pebbled leather, made in Italy. I used Lexol 3 in 1 to lightly clean it, but you can see from the photos, it’s still dirty. It needs to be dunked and cleaned, but I’m unsure about dunking light colored, matte finished pebbled leather. I’ve dunked several other Coach bags and love the Leather CPR and Black Rocks I learned about from this thread. How should I clean and condition this bag, and with which products? Thank you.

Gorgeous color! I've dunked a lined Bleecker from this line.

So I decided to do something about Ms. Stinky-pants Day Pack. No, it's not a Berk . This sad bag ...

got wet and stayed wet at some point and reeks of mildew. It has a lot of wear and the piping is worn through. I will let that be. I just want to clean it and get rid of the mildew smell and give it lots of conditioner and go from there.

Thanks for those who responded about how they use vinegar to deal with mold, mildew. Yesterday was a breezy, low humidity day and I thought it would be great to do something, anything. I let it air out the day before. So I turned it inside out and using a toothbrush, worked vinegar into the suede side of the leather inside, twice. Turning it inside out made that much easier. Now the smell of mildew is less, but still there. And it smells like vinegar! No surprise there. Today I will use emu oil, the same way, with a toothbrush. I got this idea from @MrsGAM :flowers: from reading her posts on what she did with her Berks. Will give it sunshine weather permitting and then dunk (probably later in the week or on the weekend).
I will report back!

Emu oil? I must read up on that! I'm excited to see how this bag responds to the love, Lake!

I think MrsGAM first read about for cleaning, restoring Uggs. I was not brave enough to use it on my russet Berk Zip. I have a bottle from a local beauty store. It is heavily scented, but I did use it on the interior of my color block Rambler and the residual mildew scent went away and the scent of the emu oil faded.
I figured if I restore the suede layer (imo, that is where the mold clings, just a theory) that will remove the smell. I will keep track of the dunking process too. For science  We can never have to many mold remedies!!!

I like Obenaufs oil for removing mildew smell. It has a nice leather smell afterwards too. I believe it contains mold inhibiting ingredients. Plus it can really darken and refresh faded old Coach.

I like Obenauf's Oil too and use it for finishing, before an end conditioner. I would really like to treat the suede surfaces as much as I can for mold before dunking this bag as well as the smooth leather side. Have you used it on the suede side of the leather?
However I am one of the few people here that found it did nothing for fading on black and navy bags. And it changed the color of a lighter bag.
