Hi - I have a Coach Rambler bag that I purchased from a Coach store last year. Is it ok to use CPR to condition the bag or should I use Coach cleaner and conditioning products? The sales associate was adamant that I use the Coach products. Thank you.
I have the Faye bags.. Current(ish) 2018 and 2019. I use CPR on those and they survived. Quite well actually.

Finally got started today.

OH! I am so excited! She's so perfect already though! The hand grip areas look so clean!

Yep, I am that weird. The only thing I don't like about that backpack is that I feel the straps are too short and it's a bit (like a millisecond) uncomfortable to put on. Does that make sense?

Can I see a pic of the cinch?

Sigh.. Well.

I started trying out this dye on a bone colored Soho #4156. The leather is in better condition than what the Willis was. I dunked, cleaned and deglazed prior to dyeing. Same process as before. I didn't want to go too dark so I used less dye. Better to be too light because you can redunk. The color I was looking to achieve was "elephant gray".. For some reason, the color did not adhere well. I don't know why yet. I'm going to contact the company and inquire and see if maybe I need more dye for lighter leathers or if there's a different process.

In the meantime, if anyone has light colored bags and is considering this process, I think there's more involved with the lighter leathers. I'm not sure yet. I will update!

This authenticated Bleeker 9310 (thank you, @Hyacinth! :flowers:) has been dunked, reshaped and partially conditioned (still Renapur to go). I couldn't wait to post her, she's such a beauty!!!

I'm wondering if the colour is saddle? I was expecting camel, but the hardware is brass. She's significantly lighter than BT and not completely dry.

(How someone with OCD straightens attached straps after the dunk)

Every stain disappeared as well as the wrinkling on that one side! :yahoo:

It could be because the colour of light bags is a coating as opposed to a dye?

Saddle wasn't a Bleecker color. It is probably camel. I don't know if they used nickel with these because there is really no visible hardware, just the zipper and hangtag chain, which can be changed. The catalog photos I have don't specify nickel hardware for the camel color. I don't think they were too careful about what color zipper they used.

How beautiful she turned out! I love your OCD method for straight straps. Great idea!

And so much lighter too. Interesting!

Thank you for clarifying that, whatev! I absolutely love camel although I know many don't.

Was this a vintage bag or a bag made of the newer glovetanned leather? I guess either way my answer is the same. For maintenance, I’d recommend something a little lighter than cpr - Bickmore 4 or Bick 4. Both are also mild cleaners so you don’t need a designated one for touch ups. SA’s are required to plug the Coach brand.
