Same with Amazon Canada! I ordered 2 squeeze bottles since it came out to $50 cad vs $46 cad for the refill size which has less CPR in it. I was so happy I didn’t have to pay shipping like on Amazon US lol
Congratulations! I agree, I'd bought from eBay before (££££££) and it felt amazing getting prime shipping. I bought two squeezies and then a refill when I remembered once I have time I'll be redoing a lot of bags that I didn't use cpr with the first time round since I was saving it :nuts: including my duffle 9085 so I definitely want to be really stocked up lol.
I do a weired thing with my CPR bottle...I squirt some on m hand then turn the bottle over and put all the conditioner on the bottom of the bottle , in the little dip. I then use if from there so I dont have to keep opening the bottle. Any left over I wipe off onto my hand and undo the lid and put it all back in the bottle.
This is good!

Ive often thought what an improvement it would be to my quality of life if CPR came in a container with a pump top, like hand soap ;)
Haha, I only have the big refill tub so I have an empty small moisturiser pot that I pour a small portion into so I can dip in and out of it compared to pouring the big refill every time. Plus I can close the refill tub since I'm using the separate pot.

Good to know! I’m almost finished my refill. I guess it’s time to stock up, even though it’s been a little slow on the acquisition front.

Since we've been speaking of dry leather and cracks in the strap and piping, I still have this beautiful purple (?) Made in NYC Small Shoulder Bag 9530 from the mid-1980s that I rehabbed many years ago. In fact, I was looking at this bag just earlier today and I was reminded that I've never done anything to try and repair the cracks; does anyone have any suggestions?

BTW, I've never learned the correct name for this deep purple color, I've just been calling it "eggplant" but does anyone know the official coach name for the color?

Update: I think that @Lake Effect just answered the question about the color! She's just posted images of the 1985 catalog in the reference library and my Small Shoulder Bag 9530 is included. The color is probably burgundy even though it looks like dark purple. It looked dark red before I rehabbed it but it got much darker and deeper purple with cleaning and conditioning.

The Fall 1985 Catalog images that were posted by @Lake Effect (thanks!) include a photo of the Basic Bag 9455 in Burgundy and it is a very dark "purple-red" so I think that confirms that my NYC Small Shoulder Bag 9530 is definitely Burgundy!

What a pretty bag, I haven't used it in awhile but I will make a point of carrying it iagain n the Fall!

I am in the US, but just started in the bottle I bought in a panic when those abroad said it wasn’t available and the lid has changed to use a smaller hole. I wonder if the redesign is why you couldn’t get it, there was a pause in manufacturing. I don’t like the smaller hole though.

Maybe you can buy a hand soap pump container from the dollar store or Target/Walmart & transfer the CPR into it to see if it works? I’d assume it’ll come out ok since the CPR consistency is similar to non-foaming hand soaps. Let me know if you end up trying it!

A few years back, I bought some and the bottles had the smaller hole. Then, later on a bit needing to restock, I got ones with the larger hole. More recently I restocked again and got ones with the smaller hole. I have been using a pump style bottle to dispense the CPR. It is so much more convenient!!!

The old catalog photos look so nice! The bags speak for themselves and don’t need celebrities or models, though I do remember when Coach used descendants of famous people in its ads in the 1990s.

Question: is this stain OK as far as proceeding with drying and conditioning? Saw this on a towel the Prescott D09B0026-7BEB-465D-ABAA-EC6BE94BF483.jpegbag sat on. The bag sat on its base overnight so I have now rotated it so its base can dry. I didn’t have a way to hang such a heavy bag easily for drying.

All my rehab towels are stained with the dyes of my bags, it’s totally normal. After you wash the towel, the stain might remain but it won’t bleed out. You’re fine

eta: The stains happen all throughout the rehab process for me btw. Right after the bath, during the drying process (like yours) & while Im CPRing. Once it’s fully dry & you apply a final conditioner, the dye shouldn’t continue to come off.

I mainly stay away from vintage Coach bags with verdigris, hardware and piping issues. Maybe I didn’t want those bags bad enough to try. My rehabs tend to be basic; dunk in dawn dish soap -> leather cpr -> blackrocks. That’s it. When I came across this 1970’s organizer pouch which was on my wishlist, I suddenly found the energy to clean verdigris for the first time . I sought advice from @rkiz as I had seen photos she had posted on her Instagram of an organizer pouch she had rehabbed. Thanks for the tips @rkiz :hbeat:

Very happy with how it turned out.

I keep mine upside down most of the time to make it easier for the stuff to come out.

I really love vintage coach bags and it's so fun to rehab them but lately the buying process has just been SO frustrating. The incompetence of some sellers has really put me off. I've had my eye on a spectator court for quite a while but the seller was asking for $75 and it was just too much especially for the condition the bag was in. It wasn't terrible (or so I thought) but it definitely needed to be washed and get a color refresh, which I was willing to do if the price was right. The seller finally dropped it to $40 and I went ahead and bought it.
This was about 3 weeks ago. The package arrived to my city but wasn't delivered because of an "insufficient address" but it was strange because it was popping up through USPS informed delivery (since the seller never provided me with a tracking number). I message the seller with the issue and it really is hit or miss with this seller regarding if they'll respond.. like hello... your product is going back to you.. i need assistance... you'd think that kind of issue for a seller would warrant a prompt response. Eventually he confirmed the address with me and it was correct so I thought USPS must have messed up. Once he received it, he told me he received it and would ship it out next day.. which he did not do but that's fine, I get that things happen.. I waited 2 more days to ask for a tracking number.. never responded. I waited 2 more days to ask for any updates. No response. But at least informed delivery updated and it said he had just shipped it out.

It finally arrived today and the seller just repackaged the old package so I could see that he left out my street number on the original package. But at LEAST it's here right? Opened it up to find it in worse condition than what was described

Here's the seller's picture

Here's what arrived
IMG_1642.JPGIMG_1643.JPGIMG_1644.JPG

I'm fairly confident I can fix it so I'll keep it but man I'm annoyed. I'm hoping with a dunk and some conditioner the scratches wont be as evident and that I'll be able to carefully scrub off some of the peeling. Then I'm going to give it a color refresh. I'm not sure what that spot is at the bottom (also asked the seller to provide a picture of the bottom back when it was $75 and he was like "yea sure when i get home" and he never did lol) Seems to be paint? I don't think its mold... gonna try to scrub that off later with some vinegar and dawn.

But yea.. sorry for the rant I just needed to vent a little

Anybody have any experience with scratch marks like this to give me some hope for this bag?

I had a brand new never been used NYC basic bag that was a similar color. It was burgundy. Most of the burgundy bags we see are lighter because they have faded over time.
