Why?I don’t soak my straps as long as the bag either.
Yikes, I think I'll stick to rubbing it on a dry bag then... haha![]()
I have had a couple of stiff straps that cracked slightly, they could have been super dry before though. So I usually put the strap and hangtag in the second half of the dunk. No science behind my methodology though, trial and error mostly. ha!Why?
sooo my red purse that has spots turning black on it - i think i’ve figured it out !
my hone has hard water - and i used unfiltered tap water to dunk my bag !!!
this is the info i found -
The constituents of hard water when it comes into contact with wet leather will react to the tannins in the leather and will eventually result in the leather turning black. The minerals contained in hard water can also cause the leather cleaner you use to clean your leather to build up soap residue.
anyone else run into this issue and figure it out the hard way like me ??
I am in the US, but just started in the bottle I bought in a panic when those abroad said it wasn’t available and the lid has changed to use a smaller hole. I wonder if the redesign is why you couldn’t get it, there was a pause in manufacturing. I don’t like the smaller hole though.HALLELUJAH!!! Leather CPR is back on Amazon UK!!! I ordered a bunch.

Oh, thanks for letting me know - I just assumed it was for pandemic reasons. I've never had a squeezy bottle before so I won't have anything to compare my new bottles to! Ordered a refill tub and two bottles.I am in the US, but just started in the bottle I bought in a panic when those abroad said it wasn’t available and the lid has changed to use a smaller hole. Speaking of dry leather and cracks in the strap and piping. I still have this beautiful purple (?) Made in NYC Small Shoulder Bag 9530 from the mid-1980s that I rehabbed many years ago. In fact, I was looking at this bag just earlier today and I was reminded that I've never done anything to try and repair the cracks; does anyone have any suggestions?
BTW, I've never learned the correct name for this deep purple color, I've just been calling it "eggplant" but does anyone know the official coach name for the color?

Update: I think that @Lake Effect just answered the question about the color! She's just posted images of the 1985 catalog in the reference library and my Small Shoulder Bag 9530 is included. The color is probably burgundy even though it looks like dark purple. It looked dark red before I rehabbed it but it got much darker and deeper purple with cleaning and conditioning.

I do a weired thing with my CPR bottle...I squirt some on m hand then turn the bottle over and put all the conditioner on the bottom of the bottle , in the little dip. I then use if from there so I dont have to keep opening the bottle. Any left over I wipe off onto my hand and undo the lid and put it all back in the bottle.
This is good!
Ive often thought what an improvement it would be to my quality of life if CPR came in a container with a pump top, like hand soap![]()
