Help ! My new to me beat clutch had a stain. So I used a suede brush to try and remove it . Now the suede is ruined ! Is there anyway to fix it ? It is a really weird type of suede. View attachment 5034106
I don't know if this would work, but possibly very fine sandpaper? Don't use any that is darkly colored as it could stain it. A sanding block might work. Or maybe a fuzz shaver?

Never try it, but how about a razor? It can shave legs, must be able to shave the fuzzy off suede too, but do test at a hidden area first if you decide to try it.

I've broken one turnlock. I took the one off my pocket purse and put it on the last station I did. I guess I should buy a replacement, or a badly damaged bag for parts.

Buckle guy sells their own manufactured versions for cheap. They’re solid brass. The quality is good. The washer they come with has dents though so if you get a turn lock set from their website, make sure you keep your original washer (that back oval thingy).

Eta: if you want an original coach turn lock & don’t mind putting in some elbow grease to make it shine again, I can send you a spare set I have for free. I have some that I keep as extras. They were taken off bags that I replaced with new turn locks because Im the laziest hardware polisher on the planet... lol

Is it the piping that is dirty or all the leather around that corner?. Start with cpr to clean and condition first and see how the corners look. Some of the newer styles dont repsond to dunking as well as the vintage.
I'm guessing that it's embossed leather? It feels like fabric to me though because it's soft, but I'm sure it has to be leather.

Thank you ! I will try that, I had thought about a razor . But was afraid it might cut the suede. I am so upset that I did that ! I never thought it would have made it look like that . Uggggg

I had considered that. But was afraid it might cut the suede ? I can’t believe I did that ! I feel so stupid !
Lots of us all did something stupid and ruined a bag along the way, the learning curve. Another thing I can think of is use a thread trimmer to cut off the fuzzy things that sticking out the most. A good trimmer can trim a thread very close to the surface.

I just received my mahogany? Patricia. She is in great shape and so soft, my first bag from Mexico. But I want to get out the crease on the flap- so I need to dunk the whole bag, or would it be possible to just dunk the flap, or would it be unevenly colored then. Would steaming be the best option? Any help is so appreciated!
