Usually the only way to get rid of water stains is to get the bag evenly saturated with water. Warm water is best but it melts edgecoating, which causes more stains, so I don't know if I would try it. We don't really know how newer bags are constructed and what will work as most of the rehabbing we do is on vintage unlined bags. You could try cleaning the entire bag with vinegar. I don't know if you'll get any better results than leather cleaner. Sometimes dishwashing liquid can help with those spots but then you run into the problem of rinsing and not causing more water stains. After that, you'll need to condition it with a good conditioner, like Leather CPR. As a last resort, you might have to try to paint over the stains.
Thank you for getting back to me!

I definitely understand on what you said on this being a newer bag and there is not as much experience dealing with those. I have also read A LOT of this thread and see that you all are usually working on the older bags. It's amazing what you can do with them!

What I think I am going to do at this point is take it to a local shop near here that does leather repair and restoration and see if I can get it re-dyed.

I have two of these bags (this one, and the teal color), and after reading through the entire thread on them, I am really wanting to start carrying them again.

My teal one has some scrapes, but not anywhere near as much damage as the dusty rose has. I was really careless with these bags when I bought them and didn't realize until it was too late how much damage was done to them.

Anyway, again, thank you for your advice, and I'll order some of that conditioner you mention just to have on hand.

Haha. You all are awesome. So much love going around ;)

So the hippie flap arrived today and I’m fairly certain it was a wax spill. I smeared a handful of CPR on the flap and at first, it couldn’t absorb into the leather. Then... the wax just melted away! Here’s a series of action photos for your enjoyment.

The last photo was really meant to be number 2... if chronological order matters in action shots.

and here are some quotes so you can also see the before. I just dove right in and didn’t take pre-CPR pics!
