Thanks so much for sharing this work! I have not dyed a bag before. Did the dye change the texture of the leather at all? Do you have to seal the bags afterward, or anything, or would you say the color seems permanent?

It didn't change much of leather feel, was dry out from soaking so long. But lots of leather cpr bring the bag's back to normal. I didn't seal it, the color will bleed a lot if get wet, but after drying, layers of leather cpr, finished with Renapur, then buff with microfiber cloth, the color won't transfer under normal use unless get wet. There are products can be used to seal dyed leather, but I didn't bother.
When I dunked a 65th anniversary Whiskey Ali, the color was bleeding like crazy, these dyed bags won't be any worse than that.
( While use the corner of microfibre cloth appling leather cpr, the dye bleed into cpr, but I just kept on rubbing cpr into leather untill all absorbed)

Hi, ladies! Only recently returned to rehabbing after a very long hiatus, and I've been going a bit rehab crazy these last few weeks.

I just finished a quick condition and polish on a City Bag I was gifted by a friend who knows I love vintage Coach bags. It's not a dramatic difference in appearance, but it feels so much softer! It was so stiff and not pleasant to the touch originally, that I honestly thought it might have been made of vinyl (though it still would have been a lovely thought for a gift), but one of the lovely ladies here authenticated it for me. Now I'm so happy I gave it a chance! I was a little bummed by the fact that I couldn't get what I thought were watermarks completely out no matter how much I scrubbed or polished, but they're fairly faint, so maybe they won't be too noticeable?

Does anyone know what color this is, by the way? I'm generally a British Tan, Navy, and Black girl, so I have no clue of the shade name.

I would guess putty, but am not an expert.

Brilliant job, MrsGAM! She looks brand new!

The brief rehabbed beautifully. It got a bath, about 4 coats of CPR, and two coats of Blackrock. It had some color loss on the piping in the front corners and where the flap bends over the top of the bag but most of it came back with the conditioning and blackrock so it's not terribly noticeable now. I love the color - I think this is burgundy?

Finished another easy black rehab! The worn piping came right back with a bath and conditioning on this one, too.
