Long time lurker, first time poster. I recently bought my first vintage coach bag, a tangerine(?) geometric, and dunked it!

She was definitely well-loved before. Lots of scratches and pen marks, especially in the interior. They wouldn’t come out no matter what I tried, but I’m not too bothered by it.

The bag is still by no means perfect, but the whole process was fun and I’m proud of the end result.

Happy rehabbing!

Getting a serious British Tan vibe from your pics. Good job.

Another cleaner/conditioner question from a newbie with limited access to specific products because of living in Canada.

I found Leather CPR Cleaner and Conditioner on Amazon (.ca) along with Renapur as a (hopefully good) substitute for Blackrock Leather n Rich. Blackrock was only available in the US and the shipping cost was triple the price of the product! :whut:

My current project is to restore colour to slightly faded piping on my newly restored (unfortunately with Coach Moisturizer :-s) black Abbie. Should I clean Abbie again with CPR and then use the Renapur all over the bag or just the piping to restore the black colour?

Many thanks for any and all suggestions!
I began rehabbing with Leather Therapy R /C and Blackrock with decent results. I went on to try CPR and Renapur from recommendations here, with crazy good results on my last two rehabs, a BT Letter Brief and Rust Saddle Bad. If interested search my ID and the bag names for the process.

I agree, that it is British Tan, great job! The tangerine is bright orange as you can see from the second bag from the front in the picture below.

I was telling my mom about my coach restoration project and she pulled out my dad’s old briefcase - she gave it to him in the 1980s. It’s a little wet in the picture because she wiped it down just beforehand. Can anyone suggest where to begin with this? I’m hesitant to dunk it because of its age. What do you recommend?

The brief rehabbed beautifully. It got a bath, about 4 coats of CPR, and two coats of Blackrock. It had some color loss on the piping in the front corners and where the flap bends over the top of the bag but most of it came back with the conditioning and blackrock so it's not terribly noticeable now. I love the color - I think this is burgundy?
