Ok... @houseof999 and now @katev are the lovelies i want to see the whole collection of their bags.
Anyone want to join me?
Yes, Please and Thank You!
I'm sorry guys.. they aren't ready yet. I just put all my reds together and they took over all of the left side of the shelf my DH built for me back in September. I still have a long way to go to be able to display all of them.
All good House.
We will all wait with anxious anticipation

I've been buying bags for more than a decade and I'm not even sure what I've got or where some of them are at because I've given lots away as gifts and I've lost track. Plus I've still got piles to rehab.

I keep telling myself to get moving and try to sell a few but I haven't done it yet. Sorry, but I don't see a collection photoshoot coming up any time soon!

Katev...all goods. Collections are never finished and are always evolving....it just really nice to see all yours and Houses bags as they are droolworthy.

Is there any way to tighten a loose turnlock? Or once its loose would it just have to be replaced? The inside is that spring mechanism thingy. Thanks in advance for any replies!

It may not need to be replaced. A few times I've thought that I would have to replace a turnlock because it seemed loose or odd, but after I removed and cleaned them they were fine. The briefcase below is an example of a bag that appeared to have a broken turnlock that worked well after I rehabbed it.

Thanks for the reply! The turn part of the turn lock is pretty loose even after cleaning and Im not sure it will re-tighten. Do you know if its possible to pull the spring mechanism out or not? Also, great job on the briefcase rehab :)

Thanks, I have never tried to repair the turnlock mechanism, sorry!

ETA: This may be a weird suggestion but sometimes I find myself experimenting when I am trying to rehab a problem bag. What if you tied some thread or thin twine under the base of the part that turns, would that tighten it up a bit? Just an idea, good luck!

Interesting idea! I’ll definitely try the thread tomorrow and let you know the outcome. Worst case scenario, I will just order some replacement turn locks! Thanks for the suggestion :)

I've always said I would need to go up in a helicopter to get a picture of all of mine.

Guys I found a US bag strap company that makes replacement straps for vintage coach bags- they’re pretty reasonably priced & free shipping for all you US peeps (Lucky). They have the lobster clasp straps & the buckle style straps (it says you can select the width and length that suits you).

Hope this helps anyone thats been looking to replace a strap!
