When I misplace my brush, I use a thick cotton towel! But I will usually alternate between both. I haven’t used a microfiber cloth yet. When people buff, do you use a microfiber cloth, a cotton towel or a horsehair brush?

If you mark it as gift, and declared value under 20$, then won't be any import charge.I believe its only $22 to ship to NZ using small packet as I have used that service before with Canada Post. So whatever $63 cad converts over as, it is slightly cheaper- but I guess I didn’t consider there would be duties added on top. Sorry @Narnanz- looks like it would still end up being the same price![]()
So cute!Yellow Regina done rehab and moved into. She holds all my stuff but is kind of heavy and the skinny strap is digging in after only two minutes. Might have to look into a wider strap.

This is my first really light colored rehab, she didn’t clean up as much as I hoped on the handle and edges.

I've applied CPR (or Lexol earlier) as soon as three hours in and as late as maybe ten. I don't think it makes that much of a difference in the outcome, but the process is a little different. The wetter the bag the more vulnerable it feels to me and I have to be careful not to nick it with my nails or something.I always apply cpr about 2 to 3 hrs after dunking. Just use a towel to soak up water inside and create the shape I want. Take the towel out usually when I do my first application and dont put it back again.
I use a very thick, padded, sort of shaggy looking microfiber cloth by the Chemical Guys. Like @Narnanz I start buffing only when the bag is mainly dry, but then do it between every coat of CPR and use a fair amount of pressure. When people buff, do you use a microfiber cloth, a cotton towel or a horsehair brush?
Oooh, look at M_B over here, so down to earth and still giving such mundane bags as the Court and Plaza the time of the day!I'm done rehabbing three of my four british tan bags. I could not bring myself to dunk my Rambler after my Ranch turned out so badly. The large Plaza and the Court turned out ok though. I put Renapur on the Plaza and Blackrocks on the Court. I still don't know which finisher I like better! The Court feels tacky after a week and the Plaza feels greasy. I may need to wipe the Plaza down one more time, I just put the Renapur on this morning and then gave it some time to soak in. They both look beautiful though.

Beautiful! You probably need to apply smaller quantities of both BR and Renapur; it's easy to use too much.
I use a little bit on the sponge and work it in..then leave it to soak in ...then buff later on.So I ordered Renapur and it gets delivered tomorrow (yay prime shipping). Are you supposed to coat the bag, remove the excess and then buff? or do you just take a tiny bit of Renapur, work it into the bag and then just let it be? I use mink oil but I found some of my stiffer leather bags are very dry even after 2 coats so I wanted to try a waxy conditioner to see if it helps at all
One of the experts on here told me one time when I used too much Blackrocks and the bag was still tacky after a week to use a little bit of CPR over the Blackrocks and it would removed that excess tackiness. That worked and the bag still looked wonderful afterwards. Your rehabs look fantastic!I'm done rehabbing three of my four british tan bags. Agree. I saw it somewhere on Renapur website, while applying, if you can see Renapur on the leather, you applied too much.Beautiful! You probably need to apply smaller quantities of both BR and Renapur; it's easy to use too much.
Thanks for the tip!
