Oh, what a shame! How big is the stain?
It's pretty bad. It looks like someone tried to clean an ink stain with bleach and not only made the stain worse but splattered the bleach everywhere. I bought it this way ($20 shipped I think). I got cocky after a few successful rehabs and thought I could work with this one but nope. It's ruined. I do want to paint it though because I love this color and it's impossible to find. The front isn't too bad at all.

Thats really dissappointing...is the rest of the bag ok?....maybe having some fun with it and colourblock it.

The front isn't too bad, it has an ink line on the flap and some bleach splatter on the dowel but otherwise it looks fine. My sister is a very talented artist and I want to ask her to paint forget-me-nots all over it. (my favorite flower).

Well, I think of posting this when it is not opportune, but now is perfect. I sympathize Morgan!
Back around 2005 0r 2006, after I had bought a handful of Coach (lol, than then weren't vintage but now are), I bought a Willis in the same shade of blue, off eBay for $13 shipped. It had a whitish stain on the front, toward the bottom. the size of a golf ball. The woman who sold it said it had been next to a bag of groceries where a cleaning fluid with bleach had leaked out the container onto the bag. I had naïve thoughts of finding the right shade of Meltonian shoe cream to fix it. I donated it to Goodwill a few years later. I still have the strap.
Other than that, the bag was beautiful. And today, a few tea roses would have fixed that right up. :crybaby:

I really like that idea, put flowers where the stains are or maybe just on the back. The colors are so hard to paint match.

Aww what a bummer! That sounds like it was totally fixable. I'm sorry!

ETA:Well, not fixable. Coverupable.

I feel the same about all my original Coach bags I had when I first started working. I bought one a year and then donated the old one to Goodwill. I really wish I could even remember what styles they were. I might have even had a pony!

I understood!

One of the bags I bought in 2005 was a Saddle in black. I thought it was so cool and loved that style then, and still do. I am pretty sure I would have flipped for a Pony back then and bought it if it wasn't too expensive.
Well, I have to console myself that have many wonderful bags I really enjoy!

You know, this would be a perfect bag for that backpack idea someone posted. A decorative piece of leather over that spot, place the rivet, get a cute strap- it could be great!
