So lula's got a dunk and a scrub, water was hot because it had little black spots, not mold, like it laid on top of a paper and the pattern transfered onto the bag. Spots came off with a little scrub, but the bag is very mottled. I really hope it drys even. Bottom is perfect though lol.
I have a “yellow” dinky (I don’t have any real yellow to compare it to, but it’s definitely a more yellow tone than a camel court I have) that was similar when I dunked it, at least like your first photo. It dried evenly after that.

I have a bag that has some significant ink stains on the legacy striped fabric lining. I haven't tried to remove serious ink spots from fabric in a long time; what are the current approaches recommended by rehabbers? TIA!

So I guess that "hoping, praying, and getting lucky" are still the best options for removing ink from fabric?

I find acetone to be the most effective, second best is alcohol. After removing the ink, wash the fabric with soap and water because the acetone or alcohol can leave rings.

Oh my gosh....I'm envious!! If you ever find a Lunch Box Zip(s) in ANY shade of blue or green for that amount of money, then hit me up!! I would be thrilled!!
Look my friend, complete transparency, if I find a Lunch Box Zip in those colors, in very good condition, cheap, I may be inclined to keep them for moi!
But the point being, stay open as you browse online or when we can, in thrift stores, flea markets, etc. There are treasures out there.

Ah I'm finally done with my NYC Dinky! Here's what it looked like before:

And here's the before (seller's photo) and after:

From Seller photo I thought I was getting taupe/putty but I think it's definitely Tabac. Thanks for letting me share!
Gorgeous. Yup, with a neutral that needs conditioning, you never know what shade you are getting.

Thanks for my morning chuckle!! And I get it about complete transparency.....ditto!! I am an old school treasure hunter/picker and have found a few bags in some interesting (i.e., questionable, dirty, gross) places
However, I do love finding and rehabbing these bags and giving them to friends and family....the more vintage Coach I can rescue and place in "new homes", the better!

So, after a recent bout of lust for Mahogany I got myself a Convertible Clutch. First impression: How is this not everybody's favorite color? I really really hope she stays so rich-looking after I'm done with her. The CC also seems to be a great size, she'll probably fit all my crap and then some.
She's a bit more beat up than I'm used to (doesn't show well in the photo though), but I trust I can make her pretty. She's going in the bath tomorrow, I might busy myself with polishing the hardware today.
Also, I finally get why people love Costa Rican leather so much (have a very stiff CR Court), she is the softest little thing.
Here's the before, with clean juicy Manor and dusty dog-behind!

Gorgeous color, that Costa Rica leather, yes. You will make her pretty, no doubt!

I think my mahogany improved with washing, yours should be even prettier after a bath. If I can find the pics I posted here of my manor I will send you a link.
