I think you're right. I have a red Classic Pouch that looks brand new, like never used, except for a black ink stain under the flap.
That reminds me of my red Legacy Pocket Hobo that's practically unused, but I got it at a really good price because there's this big ink stain all across the back. Like it was placed on top of some spilled printer ink or something that was leaking ink was placed on top of it. All those ink stained purses I've seen are the reason I hunted around for some nice pen cases:smile:

Hi all~

I have a thing for the Lunch Box Zip (9991) bags, and would love to own one in EVERY color. However, I am more of a "resurrect the worn, battered and weary" rehabber/collector, so I won't be buying one in every color (some vintage colors sell for just under $400!!!) unless I can do so in a thrifty and inexpensive way. Attached are photos of the mahogany Lunch Box I just finished rehabbing. I am so thrilled with its outcome!
Here's the link to its original ebay listing https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Co...er-Lunch-Box-Top-Handle-Crossbody-Bag/1332767 and attached photos of its second lease on life. Thanks for sharing in my joy!!

Mahogany can be so rewarding to rehab. Enjoy!
I am also a thrifty collector/rehabber ;) I am making peace with not owning some of the amazing colors seen here. But then you never know, I found a cornflower blue Abbie for $10 and a periwinkle Maggie for $30!

Oh my gosh....I'm envious!! If you ever find a Lunch Box Zip(s) in ANY shade of blue or green for that amount of money, then hit me up!! I would be thrilled!!

Ah I'm finally done with my NYC Dinky! Here's what it looked like before:

From Seller photo I thought I was getting taupe but I think it's definitely Tabac. Thanks for letting me share!
Looks really good...and all the hardware is there as well...no falling down between decking.

Thank you so much! I'm bummed though because I just realized that ebay link no longer works!! Ugh....this bag was pretty rough and had more verdigris in places than I'd ever seen before.

If you go to My eBay and Purchase History it will bring up past purchases. It defaults to the last 60 day but you have the option to select 2020, 2019, and 2018.

Occasionally you can still recover pictures and listing details from past purchases.

I have never tried this as I haven't needed to yet but I have heard good things about Bye bye dye.

Ooo, after reading the reviews as well, I think I'm going to try it. The pink one is my sisters, at one point it was her favorite, and she gave it to me but I think if I can get it out I'll give it back. Lol
The tan one is actually a Kate Spade of mine, I bought it brand new to treat myself after finishing my medical classes and passing my regional certification. Lol need to get her looking good again.
I've read to use shout, baby wipes, tide to go pens, and something I've never even heard of so I didn't remember it.
