Beautiful! I think that Ergo bags are some of the loveliest and most comfortable line of bags that Coach has made; you did a great job with the rehab.

I have also cycled bags through the washer when sink washing won't be sufficient. I put them inside a net laundry bag or tie them up in a pillowcase. I have used Woolite but I usually use Leather Therapy Laundry Solution and Leather Therapy Laundry Rinse and Dressing. These products are designed for Equestrian riders and Motorcyclists that wear a lot of leather. They are not cheap but they last a long time.

Thank you! I’d definitely love another ergo, I’ve seen the slightly larger vachetta (I think it’s vachetta) version and I’d love one!

I never knew they made that detergent, I may have to get some thanks :)

We used to put a piece of paper in the middle of the floor just to see if the cat would sit on it. She always did.

My cats love paper and boxes. Any size of box doesn’t matter they try to fit haha They are definitely lap cats, one loves to be held like a baby and will stare up at you like you’re the greatest thing she’s ever seen. It’s so sweet!

Nice find, don't worry about the cost. I have found some bags very cheap and I've probably paid too much for others - but it all works out.

I agree, I would dunk it and use the products that @whateve recommended. When you use Blackrocks be sure to apply it sparingly and wipe off the excess immediately. It has an odor but it fades soon.

I suggest that you invest in a good, horsehair shoe brush because it makes it easier to buff bags. You will also need a metal polish to shine up the hardware, I prefer Wenol. These products also cost money, but they last a long time.

Is the bag missing the hangtag? Call Coach Customer Service and ask them for a free replacement hangtag, they will probably send a plain gold metal hangtag to match the hardware. It may take a long time to arrive, but it's free and genuine!

Welcome to rehabbing!
Ooh thanks for all the tips! It sounds like Blackrocks is thicker and helps areas with more heavy scuffing, is that right? I just got another bag today, a tan Patricia's legacy, since I'm getting all the products for rehabbing! Funny how that works, right?

Hi everyone,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this question but I recently washed a vintage bag that has a fabric lining. Now that it is dried the leather and fabric are wrinkled (see attached pictures).
Any idea what happened or how I can fix this?
Thanks

Spue (and mold) are usually round circles and that looks more like areas of fading to me. It may disappear with conditioning and Blackrocks. I recently had my first encounter with spue but you can see what it looked like on the bottom of this Camel Willis bag; it disappeared instantly with heat from the hair dryer.

Did you stuff the bag with towels and shape it carefully during drying?

Ugh my bag is turning out so problematic! First of all, there's a huge spill of red nail polish inside that dried up. I can't see myself sitting there for hours with acetone to remove that so I left it alone. It's inside and no one can see and it doesn't bother me. You've already seen my stained hand. Now I'm stuffing the bag and see the leather on top of the pocket has come up. WTH? I didn't use very hot water.. slightly warm. Apparently that was enough. So if you ever wonder what the glue looks one under the folded leather.. here it is: IMG_20200327_000502.jpg

You're welcome. This thing is still bleeding color so I'm using grocery bags to stuff it with and she is going to be drying on a cardboard box. When I'm all done with this it's going to Goodwill. Lol!
