Here are the results of my blue Kira rehab. I gave the bag a bath and scrubbed it inside and out. There was some blue bleeding into the bath water, but not bad and luckily the lining is blue. Then I drained, stuffed, and dried the bag and applied Leather CPR. I used acrylic and CPR to repair the rubbing damage but it is still faintly visible in a couple of areas. Finally I did some gentle polishing of the brass hardware.

These are the after pics of my Kira 13930 B4 BL (2009, $898) and I bought some more daffodils to compliment Kira because she is a major bag!
Gorgeous! I remember seeing that on Goodwill Online. Love the way it looks.

Thank you! @theFlip#2 posted comparison pics of a new blue Kira next to a Large Cinnamon Maggie back in July 2009:

It was difficult to find Kira on the Wayback Machine but I finally found her in late July 2009 under "Boutique Exclusives". She was a "Holy Grail" bag for me back then, but far out of my price range.

Stories from rehab land.
Ths station is coming along nicely but Im not happy with the city , so when Ive finished moving the old firewood Im going to dunk her again. She is still grimy around the edges and I know it will just bug the hell out of me.
Will post the photo when the site lets me.

How do you get stale cigarette smoke smell out of leather ? I just received a really nice Patricia from eBay. But it has a really strong smell. I have dunked her with dawn and vinegar o eve, but didn’t help. Thank you so much !!
I hang outside for about a week. Smoke smell eventually goes away. It's the perfume smells I haven't been able to get rid of.

So lately I haven't been happy with my rehabs, or the bags I've been buying. I think they look ok when I purchase, but when I get them and try to fix them up I can't get it right. The bags aren't right, too small, I dunno.
I am also experiencing something similar, and I have a weird feeling it has something to do with the bags I am buying. I used to only get black/brown ones, but lately I’ve got some more interesting colors from early nineties, and I think the leather on those is not as good, maybe something to do with tanning process for the “unnatural” ones. They don’t rehab well either.
