Wanted to ask advice on this. The bag I'm working on, I noticed that the inside dried darker than the outside. I tried to get a picture to demonstrate the effect:

What can I try to get it more uniform? I also know now that it CAN be darker so ideally I'd achieve that all over. Any suggestions? I am planning to recondition and buff at least one more time, but so you think I should redunk it maybe?
It's possible that the exterior is faded from exposure. The inside is likely closer to the original color. I love the two tone, where the trim is a different color. Blackrocks would help a bit in darkening the exterior. I don't think you should redunk.

Finished my NYC burgundy Saddle Pouch Medium. I am never going to buy a bag with ripped piping ever again! I’m not satisfied with the way the sides of the flap tuned out. The corners were fine, so I don’t mind corner pipe wear.

Thanks Ebkbay! I hope you get back ok!

I did recently get a beige pocket purse that’s in perfect condition, and indeed its colour is a bit pinker than the Devon (which sort of looks greenish by comparison). I’d be ok to change the colour of the Devon bag but if there is another white that’s a closer match I’d love to try it first. Thanks!!
We are back (only a few days before the Spanish government ordered all hotels to close). And the color which works best on ivory bags without a pink undertone is, indeed, Folkart Linen!

Great job on a challenging rehab! I think it's beautiful, and you gained valuable experience on piping repair. I feel the same as you about it. I have a much better idea of what can be fixed, how much work it takes, and what to avoid in the future.

It's looks fabulous and you did a great job but I agree with you about avoiding rehabs with ripped piping; I also learned that one the hard way. If the piping is worn, faded, and thin I will take a chance but split pipping is now a deal-breaker for me.

But you saved a gorgeous bag and gave it a new life, congrats!

I finished the rehab of my blue Kira bag, there were some challenges but I am pleased with the way it came out. I got it from Goodwill for $47 and it was kindly authenticated by @whateve and @BeenBurned. This bag originally sold for $898 in 2009.

Here are the before pics and it was dirty, dry, and scratched and had spots of rubbing damage on the front and bottom.

Here are the results of my blue Kira rehab. I gave the bag a bath and scrubbed it inside and out. There was some blue bleeding into the bath water, but not bad and luckily the lining is blue. Then I drained, stuffed, and dried the bag and applied Leather CPR. I used acrylic and CPR to repair the rubbing damage but it is still faintly visible in a couple of areas. Finally I did some gentle polishing of the brass hardware.

These are the after pics of my Kira 13930 B4 BL (2009, $898) and I bought some more daffodils to compliment Kira because she is a major bag!

What a gorgeous bag! I’ve never seen that style. You really brought it back to life — great job!

You did a beautiful job on your bag,

Thank you! @theFlip#2 posted comparison pics of a new blue Kira next to a Large Cinnamon Maggie back in July 2009:

It was difficult to find Kira on the Wayback Machine but I finally found her in late July 2009 under "Boutique Exclusives". She was a "Holy Grail" bag for me back then, but far out of my price range.
