Before you do...if the leather is pebbled, I've gotten good results in covering up ink marks on pebbled leather with fabric puffy paint. You dot it on, trying to copy the pattern of pebbles while covering up the ink. Or you could get some appliques and cover up the ink that way. Coach sells leather appliques. Some stores have a customizing station where they will attach leather flowers or a variety of metal studs. Or you could paint a design on it to disguise the ink.
I hate to kill a bag, but this one got ink mark everywhere inside and out. I dunk it twice already. Also top edge color is faded, Edge paint chiped as well. Just a lot of work to bring her back to beauty again. Is it still doable?

The ink should come off the lining with acetone or alcohol unless it has become set by your dunking. Why did you dunk? I rarely dunk a bag that has ink marks as those can spread. At any rate, the ink on the lining should have been cleaned first.

It is a beautiful bag. It depends on how much you want to experiment and how much time and money you want to invest in trying to make it usable. I don't think the parts would come in very handy. I hate to see nice leather like that cut up. I would probably fix the edges with leather cement and paint. Then I would get some Wood n stuff leather dye, or maybe another brand, in the closest red I could get and paint the bag.

As Im a novice rehabber Im a little unsure as to whether to give an opinion but here goes.
I dont think it's too bad.. Marks inside a bag I dont really worry about as only u see it...If you are going to sell it thats another story. I have a Cole Haan that has gold spray paint on it and Im using it for this weeks bag. I think it adds character.
Thats my pathetic 2 cents worth

I just read @whateve’s comment about dunking bags with ink marks. I posted this bag in the authenticate thread, but if it has pen marks on the front (as described in the listing) would dunking it make those marks worse? There are also marks on the inside that I am guessing are pen as well? What would be the best way to clean this bag?

Light or thin ink marks usually don't spread. When there is a lot of ink in one place, it can melt in the bath and spread. Ink on the inside can spread to the outside. I can't see the ink marks on the exterior. There is quite a bit of ink on the inside bottom. I don't think it is enough to spread but to be safe I might wipe it with acetone before the bath to see if any of it comes off. You can also lightly sand the interior ink marks. If they don't go deep, I doubt they will spread the outside.

Thanks, whateve! I just realized that I forgot to post the link here and was going to add to my post, but clearly you figured out what I was talking about! Thank you for the suggestions.

I tend to put everything in water first before think about how to do it. I will try to paint the whole bag and see how is the result. Thanks Whateve.

Ink inside doesn't bother me too much either. I am just scared of the amount of work neede to fix exterior and edge.
Well, I will put the bag aside for now, and will try to fix her when I am ready. Thanks.

That's very weird. It has the wrong style number. It looks like it should be 9017 Abbie zip. Where did you get it? You should post on the Authenticate this Coach thread for opinions on authenticity.
I thought the same thing. The body feels authentic. The strap feels fake. The tag is a typical 2 layer tag... I bought it on Poshmark (it was listed as light pink - which it is NOT).

Can I see more pictures? I need to see all the details, including pictures of the inside and the zipper ends. I had one in lavender I can compare it to.
