The recent discussion about the Lindy bag inspired to get my Golden Yellow Lindy out because I haven't carried her in quite awhile - and I have fallen in love with this beautiful bag all over again!

I had forgotten how large it is because in pictures it looks like a small bag, but it is a nice, medium size. I suddenly have a strong urge to carry this bright yellow bag even though we are in the height of winter here in the Midwestern USA.

I am going to a party this weekend, it's just a casual party and I will be wearing jeans and a top. I was thinking of carrying my Lindy to the party (as long as it isn't snowing or raining).

Do you think I would look goofy carrying a summery, yellow bag in the dead of winter? Is this bag "too fancy" for a casual party? Should I just be patient and wait for Spring?

Help me decide what to do!

Yes! This is a party bag! So pretty.

The third and final bag arrived today . Pocket Bag in Putty in better condition than I thought she would be. The small hole in her top flap is nothing bad. But her leather is thick and really firm but at 30 years old I would want firm skin as well.
Pictures when I get home. Have a light above me at work thats flickering on and off like a disco.

Trees in background are green, it looks like spring to me, so go ahead get out with Lindy and have fun.

I washed a whiskey color Ali. The lining was very dirty, much better now after wash. Yes the leather color bleed, the longer you dunk the bag, the worse it bleed, so make sure keep minimum time with leather contact water. I pulled the lining out and wash it first while trying to keep most part of leather dry, then use a microfiber cloth briefly washed the leather outside, dunk the leather part quickly to rinse of soap, holding lining above water during leather cleaning.
The lining stained a bit when hanging the bag upside down to drain the water. After a couple of hours, I rinse the lining to get rid of the color stain, and use cloth pin hang the bag by the lining to dry. The tricky part for Ali is the flap, I tried my best to keep the lining from contacting the leather, your tote should be easier.
Pictures show after and before.
By the way, after the bag is 80 percent dry but still damp, color won't transfer anymore, you can put the lining back inside bag, then stuff it to shape.

I have the same bag, in the same color. I don’t think it’s fancy, and I also don’t think it’s summery. I’ve used it with a blue outfit. Do you have anything else in the same color, like shoes or a scarf?

Hmm, I don't know that I have anything in that color, I will think about that. Thanks!

Such a beautiful bag! I say wear it! I love wearing bright colors in the middle of winter.

Just finished rehabbing my last two purchases of 2019!

They were both made in Italy! The Madison Carlyle was smooshed and super dry, so she got a bath and multiple coats of Leather CPR. Finished her off with a coat of Leather Therapy all over and some Black Rocks with a little red Saphir renovating cream on a small dull brown scratch near the turnlock. The Sonoma Small Full Flap was clean but super dry and just a little smooshed so she just got a full conditioning and stuffing while drying before I moved in. Here are before pictures from the listings:

Neither goofy nor too fancy. You'd carry a bit of spring sunshine to lift winter spirits! Go for it.

You can wear oxblood, maroon or burgundy, or even black with it.

Thanks! The forecast isn't looking too good for the weekend, so if it doesn't happen then I will make sure to carry Lindy soon - she's too pretty to sit in a closet!
