Is it better to just condition these pre creed ones and not dunk? After one coat of renapur, we perked up right up.
I don't think so. If they are lined, then I don't like to dunk, but if they are just leather, I think they improve with dunking. First, you should check the stitching and make sure nothing is about to fall apart. Is it better to just condition these pre creed ones and not dunk?
Hello! I was just wondering what you decided to do with your purse. I hope it turned out perfectDear Coach Rehabbers,
I have a Coach Fletcher that I am cleaning up so that I can wear it this week (the bag was authenticated in the "authenticate this"). It has some imperfections that I am totally fine with as they give the bag character. But the strap has an area of damage along the edge. I've put Leather CPR and Coach moisturizer on it and it hasn't changed the look. Is there any kind of product that I could use to make these edges brown again? I know not to use shoe polish, of course. I also don't want to damage it or do anything that would no longer make it a Coach bag, if you understand my meaning. If I should just leave it alone, it would be OK and I would still wear the bag with pride. Is this just going to be another one of the details of the bag that gives it character? Or is there a product that I could use that can recolor a small area like this? Thanks for any info that you can provide.View attachment 4577236
It was really dry, and I didnt want to dunk for fear of cracking and getting sticky. Is it better to just condition these pre creed ones and not dunk?
I've taken off shoe polish off of an nyc, it's a messy process. Alot of acetone and cotton balls, but the bag survived. I didn't dye it after, but it needed alot of conditioner.hi everyone. I need advice on whether I should strip off the dye/paint/polish from this bag. It has been authenticated but I find that the rehab done on this has basically masked the real texture of the leather and made it look too shiny
I am a little scared of stripping off the paint and dyeing it myself. the bag is an NY era bag. any advice would be appreciated. thank you!View attachment 4581614 View attachment 4581615

Yes, after I took off the polish the dye remained. The bag was a little lighter, but after many applications of obenaufs oil the dark navy came back. NYC bags are dyed through and through so they are a little more colorfast.thanks for replying! did the original colour of the bag remain after you stripped the polish? is that why you didnt dye it? im thinking of buying a dye stripper (in case it is dye). im just not sure of 100 ml is enough haha
