The edging on the strap looks a bit rough so that’s the next thing to work on. But I’m comfortable to carry it now.
Thank you! It feels so smooth and the luxurious. I love it!The leather on that bucket bag looks amazing!
I look forward to seeing this! Congrats!Okay, I found my new rehab project. Another Pocket Purse, I love that style, this time RED and made in NYC too! I am going to dunk it, so help me I am! I was apprehensive dunking a red, tell me it is gonna be okay, yes? It's in really good shape for the age- NO PEN MARKS!!! But it looks like it could use a dunk and moisturizing treatment. I am so excited!
Looking good, ML!My Bucket Bag from 1990, authenticated by @whateve and @Hyacinth .

Hello all. I purchased an old Helen's Legacy. Soaked in Dawn/water, rinsed, soaked in vinegar/water. Shaped and dried. While damp I applied Leather CPR, waited a day, applied Blackrocks. She still seems blah. I'm wondering if I should go back, wash again and do a few more Leather CPRs before Blackrocks, or if anyone has tried Leather CPR AFTER Blackrocks??? Any ideas would be welcomed.

Also, there is a red stain (pen?) that I'm wondering if there is any way to treat. I saw it as part of the listing, so it's no surprise, and I can live with it, but in case anyone has any advice for removal/hiding the stain, let me know.

Thank you!
I would wash it. I don't think the leather will bleed but that is always a risk. The sateen can be cleaned with anything that is safe for fabric. The leather will only water spot if it gets unevenly wet. The trim along the top is delicate.Hi Everyone, i am a newbie, to this group and to Coach. i just purchased my first coach bag (which i LOVE) off of ebay last week; it is in pretty good shape, especially given its age, but i would like to clean it up a bit. I have searched the forums on how to clean sateen (i believe the fabric is sateen, as that is what it was listed as on ebay, but like i said, i am new, so i'm not super sure) and seen lots of different options. i guess my main questions are, is this bag sateen, and if so, what would be the best way to clean it? i'm leaning towards spraying it with spray and wash then spraying it with water to rinse, then dry it; but if there is a better way, please let me know!!
thanks so much in advance!!

That should work. Also vinegar. Then maybe you could coat them with clear fingernail polish to keep them from rusting again.I'm sure it's been talked about before but can anything be done to clean up super rusty feet on a stewardess or legacy zip bag. I'm thinking using some good old brillo/steel wool pad while in the bath will do some good.
