So I dunked mine. Gave it an app of Leather CPR, wiped off the excess. Any suggestions or special tips for pebbles? I am just doing my usual, knowing I should be lighter handed with conditioning. I have the drawstrings completely loosened to let air inside.
I have done a few Sheridan's......The first was a really dry Hollister Tote. I used Leather Therapy and finished with a light coat of Blackrocks. The leather therapy worked quite well .....so I stuck with that combo. on Sheridan's. Just have to give it time to sink in between coats. I hope that helps.

It's very hard to tell, but the second picture seems to show a raw edge that I would be a little concerned about. Whether it would stop me from purchasing would depend on the asking price.

Thanks so much! Based on your what you said, decided to take a pass.

I found it was hard to tell, too. Figured I'd rather put that money towards something that's more clearly in ok condition.

I do think the Manor is a little heavier, yes. I tend to carry the Manor to work where I can set it down for the day. If I'm going to be walking around a lot (shopping, running errands) I will carry a Willis or Court. I also feel that I can fit more in the Manor than I can in a Willis. Everything stays more organized in the Manor and is easy to locate whereas all my stuff gravitates toward the bottom of the Willis and I have to dig for it. Doesnt change my opinion of either bag though, I enjoy them both for different reasons.

Thanks so much for the info!!

And 100%, still love the Willis, but do find myself removing things to get to something at the bottom.

Side note, I have been taking in all the conversation about pros and cons for wearing different styles. I am 5’9” and a bit chunky (okay a lot chunky) so with a winter coat, cross body isn’t my thing. But the strap on my Oliver goes seems to go on forever, so it works in a pinch. And I will throw a bag on cross body for short distances, ie car to entrance door , if needed. But not for an extended time.
So since the rain has finally stopped and the sun is out for the first time in like 6 weeks it feels like, I thought I would walk my local flea market this morning. See if my HG is ready for pick up. I grabbed my Patricia Legacy with the strap doubled over. While I was walking around I figured why not try cross body. I was pleasantly surprised it worked with a thin top and light hoodie jacket. My body weight/bulk is pretty evenly distributed all over, so I found the bag rested nicely toward the side of my hip and the wide strap was comfy. I’ll experiment with other bags in the warm weather and no bulky winter coat.

Love this!

Hey guys. So I purchased a red Willis on eBay this morning. When the seller was packing it up for me, she noticed an issue on the bottom of the bag. She wanted to see if I still wanted the bag.

The seller offered to take it to Coach today and ask for the bag to be cleaned.

Just wondering if I should take her up on her very nice suggestion?

On the one hand, it might help me tell if it's just a superficial issue, if it can be improved.
On the other hand, I don't know if Coach products will likely damage the bag.

I've seen posts here that current Coach products are bad for vintage Coach bags, and I remember the Coach cleaner being bad?

If it was you, would you give it a shot: to see if it makes a difference, for a Coach store to clean, and maybe condition, this?

Hey guys, nevermind with that last question. Think I figured it out.
I saw that the Coach cleaner is fine. And that the Coach conditioner (i.e. Moisturizer) should be treated with caution (because it potentially still contains silicone).

Hello! This is my first post in this forum. I've been a fan of Coach for a (very) long time...my first ever bag was a Dinky in the early 1980s. But I am relatively new to rehab. I am in awe of the knowledge in this thread. I have a Stewardess that I've been working on. She's in great condition overall, but the bottom interior flap of leather (covering the feet) has started to come up. Can I just use fabric glue on it? Should I use something designed for leather? I don't want to use the "wrong" thing, although part of me wonders if either of those are really bad choices. Do I need to be able to remove that at some point in the future? Should I care? Thank you in advance!!

The covering is meant to be removed if you ever need to replace the feet. Fabric glue would probably be fine.

Okay, I found my new rehab project. Another Pocket Purse, I love that style, this time RED and made in NYC too! I am going to dunk it, so help me I am! I was apprehensive dunking a red, tell me it is gonna be okay, yes? It's in really good shape for the age- NO PEN MARKS!!! But it looks like it could use a dunk and moisturizing treatment. I am so excited!
