It sounds hopeful! That was fast so I hope it will smell fresh soon!
Fingers crossed, all my sniff tests today failed to register foot. She has had four coats of CPR and is feeling some better.

I think the top row, far right is a Derby. You have a super gorgeous collection!! Would you be willing to say what bags they are? I recognize a couple (Willis & Penny) but would love to know the rest. I especially love the little bag on the top row, far right. And the first bag on the second row (far left). [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]
I have one in black to rehabI think the top row, far right is a Derby.
I just received this Manor bag today and lookit what the silly previous owner did to the brass rings. Would this bother you guys? Are these rings replaceable? Would you guys send the bag back? I'm bummed. What the heck is the purpose of this??View attachment 4393446
Are you planning to dunk your Manor, if you kept it? I have one on the way and intended to dunk but just saw an old post advising caution because they have cardboard in the flap.
My shoes are all in their boxes way up high in my closet, while my bags are stored in plastic bins down below, so there is no shoe contact whatsoever. But depending on the amount of closet space one my have, and not everyone babies and loves on their handbags like those of us here, I can see them mingling in some circumstances.Oh!This makes sense. I don't keep shoes in the closet other than my 1 pair of black heels that I never wear unless I really really want to. Also, as women, our feet always smell like flowers.
Hee!
How do you like the Belmont? I am intrigued by that bag, but not sure how I feel about a bag with no long strap.I have no idea which is which. I think* they are all supposed to be the same color. Not sure if the official color name burgundy or Oxblood. I think at one point there was a plum. I believe the dye batches varied from time to time. The other experts here can you tell you more. I was mostly hunting "burgundy" when I found these.
My full size photo from my Avatar is here somewhere. I can never remember the post #. So here it is again for your viewing pleasure. View attachment 4398177
The one on the far left, middle row is a Carlyle, yes? And is the one below it the Pocket Purse? Sort of sized like a Dinky 24. That's the one I found recently from NYC and rehabbed. Really?! Crap. I was planning to dunk it, yes. I'm so glad you said something, thank you!! I actually just ordered a huge jug of Leather CPR in preparation for dunking my mahogany manor as well as the BT manor I haven't received yet. Mine has a funky old basement smell. Maybe I can just wipe it and condition it? I hope yours arrives in great condition with no smells. Will you try to dunk yours if you think it needs it?
You may be pleasantly surprised. It will definitely look much better after a bath, and conditioners will darken the color on the tab. I doubt if you'll need to paint it.
The first thing I would do is make sure it's authentic by posting on the Authenticate This Coach thread. Please read the first post in that thread so you can supply the necessary information.

If it's authentic, I would dunk and condition as described in many posts in this thread. Here's a place to start:

ETA: Welcome to rehabbing!
Nice find! I have rehabbed two of these. Be mindful of the cardboard on the flap! If I had another Manor I don't know that I would dunk again - I warped the board on the second one quite badly. Even if you press the flap while drying, the flap may not look as 'crisp' as it does now once dry. That is just my experience! There are many more experienced rehabbers here with success stories to share. Good luck!

Is the cardboard in the flap portion only? Can you keep the flap out of the water and dunk the rest?I am really not sure what to do. I won’t carry it if it smells and from the pics mine will need more than a wipe and cpr as it has some scratches and mottling. For the smell sealing it in a trash bag with baking soda is supposed to work for basement/musty but that did nothing for perfume on my Tods.
I was researching Manor rehabs as part of my “just bought” ritual and found the cardboard post...no one else mentions it but I didn’t see many Manor posts either. Hoping someone with experience will weigh in on cardboard/or not and dunk or not; the poster I mentioned was at 169 posts last year so she might have, fingers crossed, been wrong. Does yours feel like it has cardboard?
I love it! It's very lady like. It's my "I'm kid free today" bag! [emoji38] Though I did carry it when I was Minnie mouse for Halloween with my kids around. [emoji16]How do you like the Belmont? I am intrigued by that bag, but not sure how I feel about a bag with no long strap.

Above are the post that freaked me out by nursebetty and then 2 posts by Catbird9, who knows her stuff, encouraging a dunk of a manor.
