Are you planning to dunk your Manor, if you kept it? I have one on the way and intended to dunk but just saw an old post advising caution because they have cardboard in the flap.
Really?! Crap. I was planning to dunk it, yes. I'm so glad you said something, thank you!! I actually just ordered a huge jug of Leather CPR in preparation for dunking my mahogany manor as well as the BT manor I haven't received yet. Mine has a funky old basement smell. Maybe I can just wipe it and condition it? I hope yours arrives in great condition with no smells. Will you try to dunk yours if you think it needs it?

My shoes are all in their boxes way up high in my closet, while my bags are stored in plastic bins down below, so there is no shoe contact whatsoever. But depending on the amount of closet space one my have, and not everyone babies and loves on their handbags like those of us here, I can see them mingling in some circumstances.Oh!This makes sense. I don't keep shoes in the closet other than my 1 pair of black heels that I never wear unless I really really want to. Also, as women, our feet always smell like flowers.

How do you like the Belmont? I am intrigued by that bag, but not sure how I feel about a bag with no long strap.
The one on the far left, middle row is a Carlyle, yes? And is the one below it the Pocket Purse? Sort of sized like a Dinky 24. That's the one I found recently from NYC and rehabbed. It's the one in my avatar.
I am really not sure what to do. I won’t carry it if it smells and from the pics mine will need more than a wipe and cpr as it has some scratches and mottling. For the smell sealing it in a trash bag with baking soda is supposed to work for basement/musty but that did nothing for perfume on my Tods.
I was researching Manor rehabs as part of my “just bought” ritual and found the cardboard post...no one else mentions it but I didn’t see many Manor posts either. Hoping someone with experience will weigh in on cardboard/or not and dunk or not; the poster I mentioned was at 169 posts last year so she might have, fingers crossed, been wrong. Does yours feel like it has cardboard?
Above are the post that freaked me out by nursebetty and then 2 posts by Catbird9, who knows her stuff, encouraging a dunk of a manor.
Is the cardboard in the flap portion only? Can you keep the flap out of the water and dunk the rest?
I love it! It's very lady like. It's my "I'm kid free today" bag! [emoji38] Though I did carry it when I was Minnie mouse for Halloween with my kids around. [emoji16]

Does anyone know off the top of their heads what colors it came in? I'll also search the forum for details.
I have never dunked a Manor Bag, so my recommendation was based on an assumption that there was no cardboard in the flap. I can't say for sure that there's no cardboard in an authentic one, but I would be surprised if there were.
@nursebetty's post quoted above said she had dunked two of them, and only one of them had a problem. And here is a post by @Transported who successfully dunked one:

The only Coach bag I am pretty sure has cardboard in it is the Binocular Bag. I dunked one of those and it came out fine, no wrinkling. As with all rehabs...YMMV!
