Does anyone have experience fixing Legacy Leather Medium Candace Carryall bags? Mine is rubbed off a bit in some areas. But I think I gained enough bravery to fix it myself. I asked the same question a bit earlier, but I just want a bit more detail this time.

I ran out of time today but plan to go to BB&B to look for cpr tomorrow. My willis still feels less than it was in termss of the leather and I dunked my smells like a foot Court bag today so she will need it too. Side note, when dunking a bag that smells like feet, stand back when pressing it under the warm water or you get wafts of warm wet foot up your nose gag gag. Court is stuff and hanging on a hook in the warmish breeze right now. Hopefully she dries faster than the willis which I couldn’t put outside due to high winds that would have blown her away.
I hope the smell comes out of the Court! Did it go away after washing? I wonder what causes that odor.

Not as cheap as I would have liked given how it was IRL vs ebay pics and the smell. I probably could have forced a return, but I am new to rehab and really wanted a project. My big Celine project turned out to be a fake so it went back. My Willis just needed a refresh so the foot Court bag is going to keep me busy. Hoping washing, conditioning and hanging it outside will diminish the smell. I will try baking soda if I need to.
I'm impressed! You are brave, and I hope you can get the smell out soon.

I had been using a leather conditioner recommended to me by Tandy Leather, that I picked up when preparing to do some leatherwork of my own, but am about out. So while I wait for the CPR and Black rock to come in the mail, I was hoping to get some advice about the hardware on the Murphy and Station bags. Can anyone tell me if the '96 Murphy or '99 Station had coated hardware? The turnlocks are both looking a little rough. They both more or less look like this:20190407_120757.jpg
It definitely looks like it had a layer of something on it that is wearing off. I'm tempted to not care and just go in and polish it the rest of the way down to the brass beneath, but I don't want to misstep.

I'm pretty sure they have a coating. It was originally there to prevent tarnishing.

Has anyone used renapur leather balsam (in a white little tub), after 2 years I'm finally out and I'm debating if I should get some more. I always liked how well it worked. And also any thoughts on obenaufs(I don't think I spelled that right at all) leather lp, not the oil I'm not a huge fan of the oil.
I've used Obenauf's LP. I'm not much of a fan. It makes it less shiny. It is hard to get it to absorb without heat. If you use too much, the leather turns white. I rarely use it anymore.

Hi, whateve! Do you apply it by hand? I find that, initially, it doesn’t seem to go on evenly but evens out as I continue rubbing the leather. I am obsessed with the smell & feel of the it! [emoji16]
