Hi all! Has anyone dunked a bag like this? It’s hard at the bottom and I’m just wondering if it’s just leather or something else that shouldn’t get wet. Thanks so much for any help you can share [emoji5]

The burgundy color is gorgeous! It should rehab beautifully.

She alsready looks so much better after one coat of leather cpr.

NM, I just remembered that I don’t have luck with dunking lighter colored bags.

The rest of the bag looks great. You'll have to cover that spot up. There is no way to get all the ink out.

Thanks Whateve, I've been following this thread and decided to try dunking. The purse was in a Lot of damaged purses I bid on. I was pleased with how pretty the leather turned out (except for the ink spot)!

I did dunk 20 minutes and 10 for the rinse.then a slight blow dry inside the suede.

So my red Patricia came today! She is surprisingly better condition than I anticipated. No color loss at all, including on the piping! I expected to have to wipe her down and moisturize, but she was clean and smelled like leather. So she got a good healthy dose of Leather CPR, and is resting.

Both, probably. That just happened to me, I CPR'd a bag I've been carrying and I guess it didn't really need it. It was a bit sticky for a day or so, but I wiped it with a microfiber cloth. Once it no longer felt sticky I buffed it with my horsehair brush. It's fine now.

I am considering buying a Coach bag that has a kisslock. The problem is that the place where it folds up, not sure what it is called, maybe a joint or a hinge, is broken on one side. I can post the link or the photo from the link if I need to. Just wondering if it is something that can be repaired.
