I've been away from this board and my rehabing for a couple days and I missed you and it! ;)

Too many beautiful and successful rehabs posted in the last few days, too many to comment individually, but you know who you are and KUDOS to you! You are all a true inspiration.

Impressed with those tassels! I want to try myself :smile1: and also impressed with the work Blackrocks does, so I am going to order some.

Hopefully I will be able to post my first finish project.
Can't wait to see it.

Black Rock rocks and this Forum rocks! It converts normal, sane people into rehab junkies in a matter of weeks!

So I've been looking for a challenging rehab project for Easter, and after two days of exchanging emails the seller finally agreed to ship this to me outside of the GSP.

Tell me I'm crazy, but it's pre-creed, I couldn't resist! I'll post pics when I get her and can assess the damage. I'll be asking you all for a advice on the best approach (Whateve, what is the correct name for her, please?).

That's quite a find!! I can't wait to see how it goes!!

Wow!! Has it been raining out there?
No, we are in the middle of a drought and the temperatures have been in the low 70s during the day.
Is it just slightly damp? I'm having the same issue with my Willis. Washed it Monday as well and it was still slightly damp on the back where there are pockets outside and inside.

Here the snow had been melting so I think that is the problem.
It is only slightly damp on the outside now but the pockets and the inside are still wet. I think it might be completely dry by tomorrow. It is pre-creed so the leather is pretty thick.

I think it's the worst thing to have to wait and wait for them to dry. I want to carry my Willis so badly but it's just damp enough to still smell damp.....it's almost dry! I've already done 2 applications of Leather CPR....maybe that is partly ready it's still damp.

It's damp here too, but very dry in the house as the heat is still on. I dunked the green waverly Tuesday night and it was mostly dry when I got up the next morning.

Hi everyone!! Hope everyone is having a good week!!

I'm rehabbing a bottle green waverly tote. The color is worn off the corners. I picked out the darkest green in the closest shade I could find and it's still too light. I want to mix in some black and try it, but in scared (lol!!). I need some expert support here. Many thanks!!!

Ps today, had a routine procedure under anesthesia. Apparently when I first woke up I announced that I was "dreaming of coach bags". Thought I'd share because only all of you would understand the devotion!! : D

Comforting to know I'm not the only "dreamer" LOLOL!
This may sound crazy, but you may want to add a teeny, tiny bit of red (or reddish brown) as well as a little black. Just adding black can sometimes make a color darker, but dull. Adding the red may keep the color warmer and a little more vibrant...just my 2 cents. Good Luck!

P.S. I went back through my rehab book and found a link that might be helpful: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-clubhouse/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club-624452-658.html#post25026785. I used red in making a bottle green mixture that worked well on my Prairie Bag...check it out.

Yeah, I'd say you're facing a challenge...but I've seen your work and I'll bet you'll pull it off. Good luck...can't wait to see!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Joodlz. It will be a re-dye job I think. Or maybe Ill try to get some of that Wood'n'stuff refinisher that ledobe uses and recommends - if I can get them to ship it to me, that is.

Hi, back with another question. I am trying to use Brasso on a bag from the 90's that has tarnish on the zipper etc. Right now the zipper especially looks bad, the tarnished area is a brown color. When I used the Brasso on it it stared to clean up but has black spots all over it so it looks worse than before. Will these come off if I keep cleaning or should I leave it alone? I couldn't get a good picture of it but if one is needed I can try again. Thanks!
