Here are my latest projects- They had a bath and some Leather CPR and Blackrocks. The brown one had quite a bit of verdigris in the turn lock so I replaced it. The d-ring has a very worn spot but I decided to leave it alone for now, as the replacement I ordered ended up being too big. I am loving my Court collection!

They came out great EGBDF!

Wow! Great job and that a lot of ink on the towel..geez! Makes me wonder what people are doing with their bags! Maybe the kid colored it markers.

Looks great!

Thanks...my fingers - and nails! - were blue!

Another success! They look wonderful!

Thanks!

Great job on these, Joodlz!

Thanks! I've still got 2 in the works...just starting Blackrocks on a Murphy Bag and a Patricia's Legacy for a friend of mine. The Patricia is going to be an amazing transformation!

I was thrilled to find that Goodwill had marked this black Buckle bag down from $19.99 to $12.99. It was there when I bought the brown one, but I passed...the first time around! I knew there were a couple of small ink spots visible on the inside near the bottom of the front side. No biggie, or so I thought. I have had a little success with taking out certain kinds of ink (what kind, who knows?) by simply using warmer than normal bath water. Luckily I had success again, after a bath and two, extra-warm soaking rinses. I did a lot of blotting with paper towels. Then, with the bag inside out, I rolled the bottom edge of the bag, pushing down against the bottom of the kitchen sink. Plumes of ink flumed out! (I wish I could have taped my iPhone to my forehead and made a video, but this silly little graphic will have to suffice lol!) I kept going until no more ink came out. I blotted again with paper towels and got nothing...YAY! Stuffed with towels and waited for her to dry. (Probably could have stuffed a little more to smooth out the back where it's a little wavy.) Leather CPR 2X while still damp, a day apart, and 2 rounds of Blackrocks, again a day apart. Buffed with horsehair blend brush.

I’ve still been pondering how to re-engineer the liner I made for my brown buckle bag. I tried it in this black one and it fit entirely differently! Here it fits snugly under the magnetic strap and stays put very well. Interesting that they’re the same syle number, but slightly different sizes. Brown one came from Costa Rica, the black one from Dominican Republic. Now I’ll make a slightly taller one for the brown one and be done with it.

Great job on all three Joodlz! Especially love the glow on that spectator bag!

Great job on all of them as always, JOODLZ, but this is my favourite. Love the contrasting leathers.

Thanks...I love the contrast too. I have 2 Spectator City Bags, on in black with BT trim (http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-763164-640.html#post24506451) and another in white with black trim (on previous rehab thread P145 #2174, late April, 2012). The white one had LOTS of blue ink...ended up getting an acrylic paint make-over!

That was before I saw this one. Awesome!

Thanks...again!

I've been away from this board and my rehabing for a couple days and I missed you and it! ;)

Too many beautiful and successful rehabs posted in the last few days, too many to comment individually, but you know who you are and KUDOS to you! You are all a true inspiration.

Impressed with those tassels! I want to try myself :smile1: and also impressed with the work Blackrocks does, so I am going to order some.

Hopefully I will be able to post my first finish project.

Hi everyone!! Hope everyone is having a good week!!

I'm rehabbing a bottle green waverly tote. The color is worn off the corners. I picked out the darkest green in the closest shade I could find and it's still too light. I want to mix in some black and try it, but in scared (lol!!). I need some expert support here. Many thanks!!!

Ps today, had a routine procedure under anesthesia. Apparently when I first woke up I announced that I was "dreaming of coach bags". Thought I'd share because only all of you would understand the devotion!! : D

LOL! At least you had a nice dream! I had a dream the other night about a Coach bag that I don't think even exists.

Mix in the black and test it on something. The only problems I ever have with mixing is not mixing it enough so it comes out streaky or not mixing enough so I run out and then can't get the same exact color again.

Yes, I've been busy rehabbing...
This 1989-90 Coach Leatherware Spectator Compartment Bag #6850 was in pretty good shape when I bought her...just needed a little plumping up! Before pics are here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-855067-61.html#post26336287

Basic rehab...warm bath in Dawn, rinse, stuff, Leather CPR 2X, Blackrocks 2X and buff with horsehair blend brush. I wish you could all feel how smooth and silky this leather is!
All your bags came out gorgeous. The spectator compartment bag is my favorite.

Thank you Whateve!! Great point. I'll have to try another craft store and see if I can find a darker green and mix colors a a last resort. Thinking about doing a rehab and sell with this one. Was going to use it, but it's just too small.....which brings me to my dream....I was going through a pile of coach bags looking for the perfect tote. I came out of anesthesia before I found it. Im currently using a hamptons lunch tote and it's just too small and narrow.

So it both sounds like we're both searching for the perfect bag!! I hope you sketched out the bag in your dream!! Given your experience with the brand, maybe the design dept would have a look.

So I've been looking for a challenging rehab project for Easter, and after two days of exchanging emails the seller finally agreed to ship this to me outside of the GSP.

Tell me I'm crazy, but it's pre-creed, I couldn't resist! I'll post pics when I get her and can assess the damage. I'll be asking you all for a advice on the best approach (Whateve, what is the correct name for her, please?).

Ooh, you got her! I'm so glad it went to a tpfer so I can see how she turns out. It's a crescent bag #9235.
