Does anyone know how best to clean a jaguard bag with leather trim? I recently bought one second hand and it stinks. It’s kind of a musty/thrift store smell and it makes me sick. I am going to try to air it out but not sure that will work. I know I cannot throw it into the wash but is there any harm in soaking it in soapy water? I sprayed the inside with oxyclean but it still wreaks. Ugh. TIA.
I throw mine in the wash! I put them in a white pillow case and use gentle soap, cold water, and a gentle wash cycle.

I just received this Bleecker duffle that I bought on ebay in order to practice rehabbing burnished leather before I work on my other Bleecker bags. I didn't think I was going to be too concerned about the rehab going sideways but now that I have the bag in hand I realize that I absolutely love it and I really want this rehab to be a success. Has anyone ever had any good or bad experiences rehabbing these Bleeckers? I'm still reading through some older posts (there are so many!) but I thought I would reach out for help while I'm still reading.

I ask because the leather on this bag seems unusually and unbelievably soft. I have 4 other Bleeckers (not duffles) and none of them feel like this. I'd like to keep it this way if it's possible to do that and get the water spots out. The interior is filthy and smelly too, so it definitely needs a lot of help. Any thoughts?

Gorgeous bag, I love the Bleeckers!

I have rehabbed 2 Bleecker bags and one wallet and they all came out great. At first I was afraid to dunk them because the tattersall lining looks so delicate, but those bags are tough and they can take the rough stuff!

You can read about the rehabs at the links below and see the before and after pics; please come back and show us the after pics for your beautiful new (to you) bag; I'm sure that it will be stunning!

My new navy Logan bag. 1st picture is when she arrived, 2nd photo after leather CPR. She did not need much, it’s super clean. I really like this style reminds me of the drifter. My bag charm with my kids name goes perfect. ( Rachel & Logan)

Wow that looks amazing! I was afraid to dunk the one I just received because of the lining, but might give it a try. Thank you!
