Great plan! Looks good. It's amazing how much gunk on handbags can actually just be picked off. I picked off what looked like white paint or liquid paper off that trashed courier bag I washed yesterday. Came right off.

I bought the same wallet from Goodwill recently only mine is whiteish and patent leather and I must admit I don't know how to rehab it. From what I understand marks don't come out of shiny patent leather easily. It is cute and not too awful anyway, just a few little marks here and there. I love the lining.

Thanks! Yes, fingernail picking works on a lot of things (not just guitar strings...).

I've avoided patent leather so I don't have any tips for you on that. The lining is beautiful, I agree!

Hello everyone

A newbie question about the leather CPR conditioner that gets talked about a lot here.
I’m looking to condition an old bag (that I had previously washed and conditioned with Apple) but I can’t seem to find it in stores (I’m in Canada). Amazon seems to only sell it in the 33oz option but I was looking to try out a smaller bottle first.
I found this link:
https://cprcleaningproducts.com/
Just wondering if anyone’s order from this site before... or if there are other buying options?
Thanks!!!

I have ordered from that site and didn't experience any problems!

Can you "rehab" a bag like a Dreamer that needs to be re-shaped? The materials- the leather and the hardware look great .It looks like someone sat on it for a while. Is reshaping successful for the older unlined bags only?
Hmmmm, looking at it again it's pretty dirty inside too . What do you think? Can this bag be saved? Thank you for your thoughts

I also avoid patent for this reason. I think it just doesn't clean up well.

Someone here (@katev ?) did an amazing rehab on a black patent leather bag a while ago.

I recently dunked and rehabbed a Black Patent Coach Kisslock Ergo and it came out great, see the links below. After you finish cleaning the bag, you can use lemon Pledge polish to restore the shine.

After it got wet I noticed that the patent leather become cloudy gray looking in spots especially along the stitching. I was afraid that it would stay that way forever and I massaged it with towels to try and dry out the leather while it was drying. But after it dried completely the color returned to normal and the cloudiness went away.

I wouldn't wash a newer bag. You might be able to reshape it by stuffing it and hanging it in a steamy bathroom. I don't think the lining looks that bad.

View attachment 4343072 Hi all! I want to repair the piping on this ny stewardess and just want a rundown of how to fix this from anyone willing to give me their advice. Thank you!!!
Some of the ladies on here do some kind of voodoo with leather cement and puff paint mixed with conditioner, and you can't even see damage was ever there. It's pretty brilliant.

In addition to whateve recommends, I would cut out foam board rectangles to snugly fit inside the zip area and outside and it will help while steaming, cleaning and in storage. You may want to consider a purse insert to help maintain/ reshape. I think for what I can see of the inside, vacuuming and damp wiping could go a long way. The leather is nice looking from what I can see, but I get the impression from the pics the size and shape of the bag lend itself to slouchiness with time and how it is stored is important . I get a Rogue vibe from looking at the construction in the side pics, and those bags in that size are known for slouching, imo. I like that leather the more I see it! Good luck!

I haven't mustered the energy for piping repair but plenty here have. While you are waiting for a response, do a search for piping repair on this thread for lots of reading in the meanwhile.
