A lot of it is in the Vintage Chat thread and the Reference Library, as well as in the What Coach are you Wearing Today. I don't think I've posted many here, at least not the after pictures. I did a rehaul last year and got rid of most of my vintage bags. My collection has built back up somewhat. I've only kept the bags I feel are most collectible and those that I enjoy using.good night everyone! btw Whateve… have you shown your collection here? I wanna see!
I don't have one currently, but I had two before. They have dogleash clips. The width is 1/2 inch. On the longest adjustment, buckled, the strap is around 45 inches long. I don't have any bags with similar straps at the moment so I can't tell you how long each section is.Question about replacing missing straps here.
I recently got three vintage bags in mint condition - Carousel, Chauncey and Ergo Hobo mini - and the Carousel one is missing its crossbody/shoulder strap.
I may order one off Mautto but was wondering if anyone could tell me what width and length of the straps are? I say straps, because it seems to be two pieces belted together in photos such as this one.
And can anyone share better photos of the fasteners at the end of the straps, if you have a Carousel bag yourself?![]()

What color is your carousel bag and the hardware? There is a brown and gold dogleash Coach Bennet strap listed on ebay at the link below:

I have the same bag as yours in black, and I have it in the whiskey/British tan version. Don't dunk it.While I originally stumbled upon this thread when researching how to rehab/restore a bag I was going to purchase, it now has me thinking I need to rehab my own day-to-day bag. The leather is looking a little sad/faded. Question: how do you know when to “dunk” versus just a good conditioning? And has anyone successfully “dunked” a bag with the anniversary, striped lining? (I’m sure they have but I’m terrified about doing this...)

The whiskey one had lining that was really dirty when I got it. I pulled the lining out and scrubbed it with Soilove. It worked really well on cleaning the lining, but I also got the leather wet. I tried just going ahead and dunking it, but it dried with water spots. I've never been able to get rid of the water spots. I tried several things, but nothing really worked. I also had issues with the leather color running on to the lining.
For yours, I would use something like LeatherCPR or Skidmore's leather cream on it, then finish with a coat of Black Rocks.
It should come out great! If it still looks faded and you'd like the deepen the color, I've had good results with this stuff. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KIEA0IY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Thanks for the feedback! I was already planning on getting some LeatherCPR this weekend and have Blackrocks on the way! Appreciate the info!!
