Another question
I have an Etsy store where I sell vintage jewelry and at one point I considered buying vintage
coach bags to rehab them and resell them but I have a hard time parting with them. I have a HARD time parting with jewelry too (especially rare pieces) but I have been in that business for many many years, so it has gotten much much easier over the years to part with jewelry. You can’t possibly wear it all right? I guess it’s because collecting different vintage bags is pretty new to me, just about a year or so. It started with vintage Italian bags, one designer I liked at a time and now it’s vintage coach.
I can give coach bags away easy and never give them a second thought for some reason but selling it is difficult, I think I would buy another one just like the one I sold, lol. I have sold some of my other vintage bag to people who come to my home or by request from my husband’s coworkers or family member referrals, but I still haven’t sold a vintage coach. I’m sorry if this sounds crazy, but I have been having this conversation with my husband about rehabbing for a while. He can’t understand why I won’t rehab them for my Etsy shop. Is anyone else dealing with this from their spouse as well? I told him IF I found another one like one I already have in the same color etc, or even in better condition I’d let one go. Plus I am not sure I would sell them in my jewelry shop. I’d open a different shop for vintage coach bags, but there is already a ton of those on Etsy already right?
Maybe it’s just because it’s new to me, the rehabbing part that is. Putting in the time to fix them up and get them all pretty again, IDK maybe after doing it for a while, it won’t be that much of a big deal. I hope you don’t mind me asking random questions, if so just let me know. I completely understand
